Great for goal setting.
The newest update won’t open at all. Was fine the day before this update.
A friend and I both use Map My Hike on the same trails. Her free Android version includes more features including weather data where in the Apple version you have to get the paid version for these features...
I would really like to try this app but when I submit my account info, I get “A problem has occurred - Your account has not been created.” Have tried multiple times on multiple days each on my iPhone and iPad (both up to date on IOS). Tried to send a note to Support but need valid login to do that. Out of options. Zero stars at this point.
The app shows up under the list of Complications, but when I go to a watch face it doesn’t show up in the list if choices.
Really love the app and it works decently well just with the info from my iPhone in my pocket on a hike. However, I’d love an integration with my Leaf fitness tracker from Bellabeat.
I ran Map My Walk and Map My Hike side by side for several days. MMHike returns wild calorie counts - 2.7k for a 3.89 mile walk. Neither MMHike nor MMWalk return the same results to My Fitness Plan. Here’s some tips for the suits at Under Armour: 1. If you want subscriptions, make them a reasonable one time fee. I just don’t allow corporations to pick my pocket on a monthly basis. 2. Conform your algorithms across all platforms. 3. Make it easy to adjust weight and other variables on all platforms as in My Fitness Plan. 4. Allow note making at waypoints on all Map apps. 5. Share data with health insurance incentive plans like Humana’s Go/365. 6. Tell us how much battery life each app consumes. A single map app drains my battery in less than 4 hours.
Helps me understand my limits and potential with its accuracy.
The hike was great but this app is not very good at calculating distance when there’s elevation. We had gone 0.75 miles up a steep hill and app calculated as 0.1... big difference! Great for flat hikes.
Love love love this app. Use it to track all my hikes and I love that they have added a water feature. I am having a problem where my app stops tracking my hike. Today on my hike I would start the hike and lock the screen. Then a few minutes later I would check back and it wasn’t tracking me at all. When I reopened the app it would reload, as if the app had been closed, but still open the hike I was tracking (just drawing a straight line to my new location from the last location). It happened three times. I’m not sure if the app is crashing, or I’m pausing by accident.
