After update requires payment, but you can’t pay for it in the App Store. Wouldn’t pay for it anyways.
Once you delete an account, if you attempt to sign in but forgot your HP PWD for the account, you will be sent a code. This action takes you away from the HP sign-in page so the code won’t work. It is a feature born of incompetence.
Update: Nope. Every time there is an update, I download the app and try it. Again, within 20 seconds of the new download, the article flicks up and down and I cannot read past the 1/2 point. Hate the app. I’d rather use the website. I dislike how the articles are set up on the app, and for several weeks the app has had a problem with articles flickering as you scroll to read. This makes it impossible to read the entire article. The content/info in the news articles is good, and I enjoy reading the comments, so I’ll continue to read HuffPost, but through it’s online website.
Its too buggy most of the time. For the past 10yrs I have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times but it always crash and I lose everything that I saved and it’s always difficult for me to log back in to my account. I wrote Huffpost and got nothing.
Audio hijack is when an app or webpage stops the background audio you are listening to. The consumer is the one who should have the final say on what audio is being played, not an app or random webpage with a stupid ad that doesn’t even have sound. Test it. Open an audio feed (tune in app) whether it be music or news feed and listen to it, then open the HuffPost app and scroll down all the way. About 3/4 of the way down your audio will be hijacked and stop playing. Why? I have no idea. I didn’t ask for my audio to stop playing, it was hijacked. Other than that I enjoy the app and it seems well put together. 3/20/2018 - audio still being hijacked 5/1/2020 - audio still being hijacked. Audio you want to hear is shut off after following a news link on their front page. The link has no indication of a video that will play or whatever, it just shuts of your audio.
Please fix, thanks. And yes, I deleted the app and reinstalled it, but the problem remains.
I am a liberal democrat, and a big lgbt supporter. This apps opinions are basically that. I love this, it has the latest news on whatever subjects you are interested in, like politics, entertainment, style, queer voices, etc. But for some reason, sometimes when I’m in the middle of an article, it keeps closing in its own. At this point I can barely start an article.
The most frustrating shortcoming of this app is that if you select a link in a story intentionally or accidentally, when you are done and go back to the app it returns you to the top of the home page! At least return me to the top of the story I was reading or best, to my place in that story. But not the home page! Doesn’t matter how good your programmers are, this is an amateurish design flaw in the app!
An update made it very buggy on my iphone. I reported the problem and they fixed it within a few days, probably other people reported it too.
After working just fine for many years, the app started crashing today every time that I open it. I hope it has something to do with it being a new version. I have an iPhone 6 and use iOS version. 12.4.6. It is completely and totally useless now. I had no problems with the prior version.
