The Skype you know and love has an all-new design, supercharged with a ton of new features and new ways to stay connected with the people you care about most. What can I do with Skype? • Messaging made awesome: More than just text. Send photos, videos, voice messages, emoticons, Mojis and more. You can also respond to any message from your contacts with reactions. • Great for groups: Add your favorite people and start chatting. Use groups to plan together, play together, for staying in touch or just for hanging out. • Call everyone - Skype, mobiles and landlines: Free* video and voice calls make it easier to stay connected with friends and family. You’ll also enjoy low calling rates to mobiles and landlines worldwide with Skype.  • Never miss a moment with quick capture: Quickly swipe to capture photos and videos. Make them your own by adding emoticons, stickers and annotations. • Share Highlights: Keep others updated with Highlights from your day. React to any highlights with awesome emoticons or send a private message about that highlight. Your highlights only stay visible for 7 days to your followers. *Skype to Skype calls are free. Operator data charges may apply. We recommend using an unlimited data plan or WiFi connection. Upgrading to the new Skype may result in the deletion of content from older conversations. To save photos and videos that were previously sent or received in an older version of Skype, save that content to your camera roll/photo gallery before upgrading to the new Skype.

  • 4 stars...but..

    By + Slimkitty +
Skype is really great and I enjoy it to bits. I can contact my friends of extreme distances and have almost crystal clear audio. The only thing that would change my rating is if mobile users could have screen share. It would be much more useful to me to be able to share my screen on my Ios devices. That would be a game changer..
  • Works great!

Being in a long distance relationship is hard. Skype has made it easier to see my sweetheart everyday. A blessing!
  • When are we getting an iPad version?

It’s been more months now since the redesign yet the iPad seems outdated, the code isn’t that much it? Come on guys.
  • New update is horrible

Skype doesn’t even open on iPhone 8 anymore. Every time I try to load the app the app crashes. It’s horrible please fix ASAP!!!
  • what happened?

    By SFO21
good gone bad. this version stinks now it is just another crappy kiddie app with kiddie stickers like viber. confusing UI. if you fix UI take a look at WHATS APP for best UI but bad call quality. skype call quality is still the best but app is now completely lame. big step down. what were they thinking with this version? avoid this version unless you are a tweenie. set yourselves apart. imitating lame apps is not cool.
  • Microsoft is slipping

    By Zenibunny
I downloaded the app signed in with a login from years ago I created which worked, however after typing in the squiggly letters to verify it wanted to send me a code to my new email address which was a four digit code, your app will only accept a seven digit code. When I diminish the app to go to mail, and reopen it asks for login again, so I login, then it says someone else is logged in my account, there is no button to “stay logged in”. It’s in a loop that I frankly don’t think is worth any more time on so I’m deleting your app and from reviews I’ve read about your other apps starting to think that Microsoft if off their game and wish you the best.
  • Look elsewhere

    By stanw55
Once Skype had an easy-to-use, intuitive it’s hard to do things as simple as look at your call history. Once I use the last credit in my account, I’ll look elsewhere.
  • A very convenient app

I traveled often and used Skype to stay communicating with my family no matter where I was in the world.
  • Skewed Rating

    By Karsten Aichholz
Developer has a fake-in-app rating system that only redirects people to App Store page for a review after they select 5 stars. Strikes me as unethical and doesn’t hint at good corporate values in regards to truth and transparency.
  • Cortana Blues

    By ZheAwesomePenguin
I would give Skype a 5 star rating. I’ve used it for years through thick and thin and it’s been invaluable to staying connected to distant friends. However, the Cortana is seriously annoying. One day, it popped up asking permission to use my location and IM conversations. I am perfectly able of writing my own messages, so I declined and ignored it. About a week ago, Cortana decided to come into my IMs anyway. What? Excuse me?? Does my privacy not mean anything? Are my personal preferences really that unimportant? Cortana has been a thorn in my side since it decided to pop up. It’s not convenient, it’s honestly just getting in the way. I’m sick and tired of all of these companies forcing consumers to use things. I should have a choice in what I want my location to be used for and who I want to see my private conversions. The more I think about it, the more irritated I become. Come on guys, are you really going to spit in the faces of your users by invading our privacy? I love Skype, and normally I’m not one to leave angry reviews. I’ve had enough. If things like this keep up, I’m migrating to some other app.
