I’ve used many food delivery apps but this one is by far my favorite! They are always on time and love that they have meal deals!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Ordered at 1:05PM, est. arrival was between 1:35PM and 1:45PM. I tracked my order at 1:50 and the driver was across the street from me. Tried to call the driver from the app, said the number didn’t work. Texted the driver twice, didn’t get a response. I then called customer service to be told that they “could not find the house so the driver is on the way to another delivery”. When I said OK, how long until they come back, I was told the driver would not be coming back. As if that isn’t ridiculous enough, they then tried to tell me that the “best they could” do is offer 50% off my next purchase...insinuating that they would not be refunding my $65 purchase. After demanding to speak to a manager, I was put on hold for nearly 10 minutes when someone from ‘customer care’ got on the line and said OK, we will refund your money OR we could contact the driver and see if they could come back. I offered to have him come and sit at the cross streets since my address is apparently nonexistent (even though I’m an avid amazon shopper and DoorDash seems to find my house fine, but let’s leave that one alone). She tries to call the driver, another 5-10 minutes of holding and she’s finally back saying just kidding he doesn’t want to come back. So now, it’s approximately two hours past my order time. I’m packing up my family which includes my husband who is celebrating Father’s Day, and our 9 year old daughter, in the summer heat of the day in Sacramento (90 degrees) to drive to papa johns to get my pizza. The app is slow and outdated, their customer service is a joke. Grubhub is literally trash. Do yourself a favor and use DoorDash. You can thank me later.
I have no food in my house and ordered from grubhub because i didnt want to order what uber eats had( they are actually better in my honest opinion) someone else ordered food in my neighborhood as well from taco bell, now im okay with that, our orders got mixed up, cool, no problem. Look at what was given to me, and its all special order kind of stuff. And stuff i do not like. I decide to check and see if i can get a refund since i got maybe 2 or 3 times the amount of food that was in my mixed up bag. And check to see for a reorder. Why have a food delivery service if you arent going to make up for mistakes and give reorders? Starving with no car and no food in the house, thanks grubhub, you have shown me exactly why i should delete this app. Garbage behavior
Not gonna go on and on. Just very dissatisfied with the service I’ve had each time I order through this company. I would rather drive and get my own food, at least that way I know why my food is late, cold and lukewarm. I just feel sorry for their customer service representatives because all they’re able to do is apologize and offer a refund while getting the brunt of peoples dissatisfaction.
Second time driver had wrong information. Couldn’t reach the driver. Had to reorder. Fees are way too high for the service received. I will not use them again.
This app is great and easy to use but the service is awful. We’ve used it a handful of times and every time it takes over an hour to get our food which is cold by then and we live in a city close to all the food it should not take this long. The app is good the service is terrible.
The last order I received from a restaurant was average to poor in quality despite an almost 5 star rating. I went back and looked at recent reviews and they were almost universally negative. Why is this important? With a delivery fee coupled with a default 20% tip (which can be more than just taking ride share to the restaurant) I don’t appreciate inflated reviews. Grub Hub provides mediocre service at an inflated cost. I am going to be very judicious if/when I use it again. The word ‘ripoff’ comes to mind.
Food was excellent. Never disappointed with KFC and delivery gal was very courteous. It took about 40 min. for delivery
Incomplete orders, zero accountability for errors, and now, cancellation of orders midway due to the restaurant being closed? These people should not profit off this platform. If you use this service be ready to be disappointed.
I had a deal for $7 of $15 or more and my first order was placed June 2. I forgot about the promotion. I attempted to use it today and Grubhub refused to honor the promotion because this time wasn’t my first purchase when I forgot to use it for my first purchase. I’ve asked for them to cancel my account. Poor customer service.
