I’ve lost 130lbs and kept it off for five years. I credit the Loose It app for being the most helpful and simple tool I’ve used in this journey. Keeping track of my calorie intake by logging what I am eating has had a huge impact on how successful I have been. Despite reaching my goal years ago I still use the app to help me maintain my healthy weight.
There is a function to exclude specific workouts such as stretches, from calorie credits after they are added from peloton via apple health. However, lose it adds the excluded workouts back in, making the feature useless. The developers blame the other apps rather than fixing it. Otherwise a pretty good app.
I just love Lose It!!! I have lost over 120 pounds with this app! I could never lose weight before I found intermittent fasting but doing it alone never worked then I found this app and the weight started flying off me! I use this app with Gin Stephens book: Fast Feast Repeat. I recommend this app to everyone that I talk to!
The app is less judgmental about calories intake per meal and is flexible about meal sizes.
I used to love it. Had a subscription for well over a year, used it every day. But in the past few months, it’s become totally unstable. Locks up almost every time I’m using it. I’m not exaggerating, I mean almost every single time I’m using it, the app locks up and I have to kill it. Insanely frustrating. Otherwise, I’d say it’s a capable but mediocre app. The user interface is horribly complicated. For instance, want to use one of your own recipes? Good luck finding it, it’s buried five clicks deep in sub menus. Very annoying how much you have to click and how much you have to memorize in order to get around in this app. The other problem is, whoever built it doesn’t understand non-blocking design. It frequently freezes up for a few seconds, or maybe 10 seconds. Then it starts again. But in combination with the constant freezes and crashes, this is just frustrating beyond belief. Like I said, it used to be pretty decent. But now I have a hard time giving it to stars.
Easy to use. Fun. A good reminder of what you are doing and where you need to go. Impresses you with how easy it is to eat too much and how important exercise is. A good app.
I have used this app for more than 10 years it is good, BUT when you start or stop for a month you are forced to answer a billion questions and there is no way to opt out. Sometimes I jump in on the app to check a food. But it takes several minutes to get past all of the stupid personal questions. They might be helpful to some users. But there needs to be a way to bypass this annoying feature.
Every year in October, I make a fitness push before the holidays. I have a great, regular rhythm of it & a fairly healthy lifestyle already. But I’ve never counted calories, measured gains & losses, & tracked quite like this. The app is fully integrative with the rest of my Apple Tech, is accurate as long as you scan, look, & are wise - and in the 2-3 weeks I’ve been using it - I’m within 3 pounds of my desired target weight and shape by the end of the year. So: recommended. Set it up right. Track progress. Eat wisely. And this app is worth every penny.
