It is an amazing app, but it says for the age restriction, 4+, but when you download it, you have to be 18+. I am quite confused, please fix this little mistake for no inconveniences.
I have used this for several years and find it to be great way to keep track of my diet. It is an effective tool for weight loss.
This app has really helped me stay on track with my nutrition. Easy to use and gives you an accurate picture of your daily intake.
The latest update made the Done and Cancel buttons vanish from portion editing in the log. So if you eat a slice of pizza and then you decide to have another, you have to find the pizza again, because you can’t just change the number of slices from one to two in the entry you already made. This is a huge PITA. I tried reinstalling, but it made no difference.
The calorie counter aspect is great! But when you finally get some results - you log weight loss - it does nothing. It would be nice to get a little pop up that says “good job!” or something. Even if you log weight gain, it would be nice to get an encouraging message. I thought maybe it would say something when I got to five or ten pounds, but nothing. The only encouragement it gives is when you finish logging a full day it will say “way to go, you’re on fire!” (even if you ate terribly that day) I have found that I am earning “badges,” but I have to look for them down under my account profile. So again, great for calorie counting. I don’t care for the “positive pattern” feature because I eat mostly the same thing most days. I have creamer in my coffee every morning, and it will say “positive pattern detected: we notice you tend to keep your calories lower on days when you incorporate cream.” But I have that every day! There are also recipes. I’ve made a few, and they’re great! But the pictures featured with the recipes aren’t accurate. There’s a recipe for “bean, spinach, and sausage soup” with a pic that looks like chili (or something tomato-based). The main ingredients are parsnips, chicken broth, and cannellini beans, which are all white. The cooked meal is amazing; it just looks nothing like the picture with the recipe, which is odd!
Began my health, fitness and weight loss journey 11 months ago. As I began recording every food item I consumed I was shocked to see what I was eating. No surprise that I had gained quite a few pounds. I committed to daily exercise, better nutrition and weight loss- seeing the daily totals in front of you is a huge motivator. I hit a plateau after 25 pounds and made it a priority to increase my daily intake of protein and I could view the “good” and the “bad” foods. After 11 months I’ve lost 52 pounds, gained muscle and am healthier than I’ve ever been. The paid version is a small price to pay for improving your overall health.
Please make it connect to Facebook to add friends or share progress. I’ve added people by email and given them mine and it can’t find either email. Not a good look when telling people how great this app is and you can’t making adding people simple.
This keeps me honest. I like that it keeps on a good menu foods I have had in the past so I don’t have to look them up again. Great time saver making it faster and easier to track.
Exercise calories generated from other apps are showing up multiple times in the Lose It App, even after deleting the duplicates entries they come back.
I LOVE this app!!! It tracks everything I eat with accuracy and sends me motivators via email! I’m addicted to entering my foods and seeing where I’m at in the weeks goals!! This app is a must!
