I was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about a month ago. This has been amazing in helping me keep track of my numbers, meds, and more. My original issue I figured out was something I was doing. The issue I have now is with the new feature involving the medicine being saved to make logging it easier. When you first put in the meds to keep them for each time, it doesn’t allow you to put in a decimal. You can edit the medicine each time after you save it. I also noticed that you can’t set the frequency to something like once a week. Another issue is that my weight logs that I do daily and my weight in Insights are not linked. I often, usually a couple times a week, I will open insights and I’m asked to update my records. This happens even though I just input my weight hours prior. Hope this helps, these are the only issues I have seen. Otherwise I would give this 5 stars.
There are so many issues, even the premium version. 1) The support link generates an Error 404. Ao, pretty much you can even reach the developer to submit your problem 2) The integration with Dexcom keeps failing to sync with a message “Sync Failed”. No error or anything. Tried deleting disconnecting the integration and re-adding to no avail. Plus, you can’t reach anyone from support. So, it is useless to get reads from Dexcom 6 CGM 3) Apple Health has no trouble syncing from Dexcom. Upon navigating to this app to see if it can sync from Apple Health app, they provide garbage instructions to open Health App —> Source —> Glucose Buddy. There is no such option in Apple Health app to send data from Apple Health to this app. Overall, it is a crappy app with no support options.
Glucose Buddy is a great app and does wonders in allowing me to keep track of my daily glucoses, carbs, e.t.c. By logging everything manually, I’ve noticed a big improvement in my A1C and can even retrace my steps to figure out what I did wrong when I have a glucose that’s too high or too low. My only complaint are the updates: the app is absolutely perfect as-is and doesn’t need the constant “improvements.” Less is more, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. I’m worried that if it keeps going, it’ll get more confusing and/or require too many steps just to make a simple log. Other than that, I’m still very happy with the app and will keep using it. I still highly recommend it to everyone who needs help to improve their glucoses. Remember, folks, to do your own research at home regarding carb counting and insulin dosage. It’s not as hard as it seems, and when you get it right, you’ll feel incredible!
I found that I was required to enter an email. Oh, you say you aren’t going to sell it or use it for your own purposes? Then don’t require me to enter it!!
I was diagnosed last year with Type 2 diabetes and this app has helped me get and keep my BG levels in check!!! Love the fact that it has the ability to help you track your diet and other changes. Amazing app, glad I’ve got it, it’s a much needed help!!!
Works like a charm
This is a great app for tracking however one flaw is finding the appropriate food when you search. As far as I can tell you cannot search by brand name or by a restaurant which would be so helpful. I would ask the folks that created this app to take a look at the Samsung Fit / Galaxy app or the weight watchers app to see what I mean. I have the Samsung watch so I use that food search and then enter everything separately on my glucose buddy the 2 apps together in one would be awesome. I do enjoy this app though and it is helping me to take off weight and bring my A1c to normal. Also love the information that it gives regarding carbs proteins etc.
Great app. Very helpful with day to day tracking.
The ability to save medication doses in the last update is great except for one thing. I no longer have access to the decimal point so my medication can’t be entered correctly. Can you please fix that?
