iTunes Remote is the best way to control Apple Music, iTunes, or the Apple TV app from anywhere in your home. Simply download the app to your iPhone or iPad, and connect directly to Apple Music, iTunes, or the Apple TV app on your Mac or PC. With iTunes Remote you can: • Access your Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes libraries • Browse music by artist, albums, and songs • Browse movies, TV shows, and podcasts • Create and edit playlists • See upcoming songs with Up Next • Search your entire Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes libraries • Explore shared Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes libraries • Listen with AirPlay • Send music to AirPlay speakers • Group speakers together to play music in multiple rooms at the same time • Set the volume on each speaker independently Requirements: • iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 11.4 or later • Wi-Fi connection to Apple TV, Apple Music, or iTunes on a Mac or PC • macOS 10.15.2 or higher for Apple Music and the Apple TV app • iTunes 12.8 or later is recommended for use with iTunes Remote
terrible app rarely works apple should be ashamed for pushing such a faulty app
I used iTunes on my computers as servers and iTunes remote as controllers for many years with no problems. I could even give 1st generation iPads a second life as control panels for music. Then you chose to deny access to everything that wasn't brand new and destroyed everything that we used daily. Not one thing works any more. I hope you are driven out of business for your greed and your clear hatred of your past customers.
Like it very very much.
I can see my hi-res lossless tracks in a screen-less 2014 Mac mini, but only if I add the entire playlist to “playing next” list….. EVERY TIME I NEED TO PLAY ANY SONG !!!! No tracks appear on the playlist itself. Remote even says “Zero Tracks” just to throw us off. All songs are in the playlist of course, but they are only visible in the “playing next” list……possible after waiting for the three dots to appear next to playlist name, which then allows adding to “playing next” list. Steve Jobs would not have released a half-baked product, but I guess Apple is more now mostly focused on issuing credit cards and savings accounts. It’s their right, but it’s not right!
When trying to log in on the iphone it self, after signing in it goes to a bank screen and then it does not allow you to refresh. I feel the app has crashed. Does nothing for me
Love it!
Not updated in 3yrs. Shows only a fraction of my library. Playlists with 150 songs shows only 12.
Works well, but Apple sets a high bar with their first-party software. This isn’t quite there, but I assume they want to move away having a separate remote app, so it’s not surprising.
It's a useful app, but it appears to have very limited functionality. You can play, pause, skip forward or back, and see what you're playing, but it is not obvious the you can browse your library, choose another album, or manage playlists, which a modern remote should be able to do.
Just worthless
