iTunes Remote is the best way to control Apple Music, iTunes, or the Apple TV app from anywhere in your home. Simply download the app to your iPhone or iPad, and connect directly to Apple Music, iTunes, or the Apple TV app on your Mac or PC. With iTunes Remote you can: • Access your Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes libraries • Browse music by artist, albums, and songs • Browse movies, TV shows, and podcasts • Create and edit playlists • See upcoming songs with Up Next • Search your entire Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes libraries • Explore shared Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes libraries • Listen with AirPlay • Send music to AirPlay speakers • Group speakers together to play music in multiple rooms at the same time • Set the volume on each speaker independently Requirements: • iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 11.4 or later • Wi-Fi connection to Apple TV, Apple Music, or iTunes on a Mac or PC • macOS 10.15.2 or higher for Apple Music and the Apple TV app • iTunes 12.8 or later is recommended for use with iTunes Remote
I push lossless media to multiple stereos around the house at the same time and wireless doesn’t give enough bandwidth, so using AirPlay makes the sound drop out. Remote doesn’t push the sound through the phone, but directly from the server to the airport, so the music plays seamlessly.
Never ask me for a review because that means you have failed.
When using the app to control appleTV, there is no way to draw up the keyboard on the iPad to enter passwords or do search. Using the screen to up, down, left, right across a useless screen printed keyboard is infuriating.
Use to control the music on different stereo’s around the house. I can’t imagine life without it!😎
EXCELLENT REMOTE APP!!!
This app make my life so much better. Now I can sit back on my rocking swivel chair, or go any where within the WiFi ranch and control iTunes library on my phone. It’s a “MUST” have app.
It does exactly what it needs to. Never had an issue. Simple, as it should be. I use it every night to switch from meditation to the ocean ambience we sleep to, change the volume if needed, and check/change the repeat settings. All important in the world of convenience.
Mostly happy with Remote as of this writing. It seems a bit tighter and more reliable talking to Music in Big Sur. Really wish I could access a Recently Added view just like in Music.
Last time I used, which was a long time ago, was a hassle. No longer the case.
I love iTunes and use it daily to entertain while working. But it’s frustrating it only works on up to date iOS devices. I have an old iPod with iOS but it will not run remote anymore. I’d love to use it as a iTunes remote but it’s a brick for this usage
