iTunes Remote is the best way to control Apple Music, iTunes, or the Apple TV app from anywhere in your home. Simply download the app to your iPhone or iPad, and connect directly to Apple Music, iTunes, or the Apple TV app on your Mac or PC. With iTunes Remote you can: • Access your Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes libraries • Browse music by artist, albums, and songs • Browse movies, TV shows, and podcasts • Create and edit playlists • See upcoming songs with Up Next • Search your entire Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes libraries • Explore shared Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes libraries • Listen with AirPlay • Send music to AirPlay speakers • Group speakers together to play music in multiple rooms at the same time • Set the volume on each speaker independently Requirements: • iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 11.4 or later • Wi-Fi connection to Apple TV, Apple Music, or iTunes on a Mac or PC • macOS 10.15.2 or higher for Apple Music and the Apple TV app • iTunes 12.8 or later is recommended for use with iTunes Remote
I am having problems connecting to both a Mac Mini and a Windows PC with iTunes running 16.0.2 and iPhone 14 Pro. What does still work is an iPad Air on 15.7 and an iPhone 12 on 15.7. I am not sure if it is an iOS issue or a phone model issue but it is annoying
Loved this for years now. No cool updates though Apple? But if it ain't broke....
I needed a way to control my Apple music running on my Mac. All my speakers are connected to my Mac so now I can control my music from anywhere in the house! I like the ‘Up Next’ list. If there are songs in list I don’t want to hear, I can just swipe left on the item and remove it. Good app!
Love this app to control my computers iTunes and media. Please update to iOS 16 and include widgets! Would love to be able to pause and volume adjust from Lock Screen or widget on the Home Screen. Please don’t get rid of it, show it some love!
My first and still favorite app of all time.
There has always been a hassle of getting iTunes to let you use the device you paid for. Lord forbid that you should maybe sign out of or lose the iTunes machine that you use to give yourself permission to use the device you bought.
These are: 1. Speakers disappear from the Airplay menu and have to be selected from the Mac 2. The individual speaker volume controls often do not work. ITunes Remote playback is pretty reliable—less glitchy than Siri playback through the Homepods.
This app needs to be updated! Doesn’t even connect all the time! Super irritating!
Like with so many Apple utilities, they tend to semi or fully abandon them after awhile. Please, please, PLEASE! Don’t abandon this incredibly helpful tool!! I absolutely love it, and it still works okay, but it’s gotten kind of rough around the edges. It’s an indispensable tool for entertaining guests from my phone, by accessing my music library on my Mac, which is integrated with my home audio system!
It just works!
