I hate the update right off the bat. The update now limits the amount you can zoom into a PDF in landscape. I now have to use the Apple zoom in feature. Are y’all incompetent? What in the hell are you thinking??
In many ways the new version of the app is really good. Faster and cleaner. But in important ways, it is steps backwards. Like someone didn’t know how the old app functioned. Number one and this is a big one the app used to allow you to hit share and Evernotes and it would take the title from the document the website, etc. No longer does that and everything has a blank title. Number two it used to be able to save stuff from the iTunes Store I would save the picture that accompanies it and it stop doing that again. Number three when you do the share and hit Evernotes tags are gone. Cant tag note.
I’ve been using Evernote for more than a decade. It’s an indispensable app helps me get more done and stay organized. While Evernote did seem to be falling behind the last few years, recent updates have once again made Evernote far superior to the competition — for my needs.
But I can’t get into the app now. I get the intro screen where it tells me all of the wonderful new things, but it doesn’t let me into my notes. In fact, the navigational arrows for the intro don’t even work. I have started and quit out of it several times. To same I’m frustrated is an understatement.
Works great until it doesn’t have an internet connection then the notes don’t work. With a data cap for cellular I disabled the cell use for this app which makes it hard to use as a. Grocery list. Wish it just stored the notes on my phone like it should.
nothing happens when I try to log in with email. good app lol
What was a great app.....it was basically simple and fast to use but the latest “improvement” made it slow to load and respond and removed the quick scroll from the right margin.....shopping around nowfor replacement
I have used and loved EN for years even though there are a lot of quirky aspects to it. So I uploaded the recent upgrade without hesitation for my iOS devices. Big mistake. The upgrade does not allow you to print your notes. I had no problem with the prior versions but now I can’t get to the print option under export / share outside Evernote. It is now next to useless to me. Despite all the paperless tricks to organize my life I am still addicted to printing. PLEASE Evernote, fix this before I’m forced to switch. BTW, it won’t let me cut and copy from notes either, so I am also not able to paste the information into other word processors or my email app. I also note the new version will not save business card info to Contacts. Not a big deal but a handy time-saver. Conclusion: this upgrade was released prematurely
I put everything in Evernote. Before I would write things on scraps of paper, sticky notes, e-notes in various platforms, and in emails. Everything was somewhere but I could not reliably access anything ever. Then Evernote came into my life in 2012 and since then, I just stuff it with absolutely everything. And it might not be orthodox but I started with different notebooks but for the last 5 plus years I just use one notebook. The search option is just so good that I don’t find the need to use more than 1. Also I love that I can email my evernote anything as well. Big huge advantage since Important stuff in my email really belongs i. Evernote so it just makes it super easy. Last, love that you accept basically any format of a note — discrete text, image, attachment like PDF, and voice are the ones I use often. Thank you so much for creating this wonderful app and please do not ever stop!!
I love Evernote. Just uploaded the new update and the app crashes after I put my pin in at the second screen of “welcome to your new app.” Please, please fix!
