It’s working super slick for me. It was a tad poor in the early v10 days (Sept 2020 - Feb 2021), but things have been pretty smooth for me since then. The only issue I have with the iOS app is that the default body font is too small on my phone. (I have an iPhone 11.) wish there was an option to zoom the body without having to then scroll horizontally. Love the features. Love the direction they are going. Hope to see some continued innovation with the editor — in-note header linking, table of contents, and collapsible blocks would be awesome. Looking forward to what is next.
I've been using evernote for years and I'm ready for an upgrade. It's not letting me.
I love Evernote and have been a member/User for a decade or so now. I don’t use Evernote enough to pay the monthly fee. But now I can’t even use it or have access to what I have on there without the constant barrage of signing in etc. Not sure if there is a way to avoid having that. I used to have Evernote on my phone and computer. But now only use it on my phone. Please help!
The mobile app is total garbage. I can’t believe I paid for this after reading other reviews, I feel like such a fool. The autocorrect feature is worse than worthless, it makes it impossible to actually type anything in the lists. It is so absolutely terrible that I haven’t bothered exploring the other features much further. I will stick with OneNote. There aren’t enough words to describe how frustrating this app is.
Can’t use this on my phone and iPad. What a sad, pathetic cash grab app. I’ll have to find a better note taking solution now. I’ve been looking for a reason to leave Evernote for a while, as their UI has only gotten for invasive and hard to use, with constant ads trying to get you to upgrade to a paid service. Sad that this company has chosen to spit on its users in this way.
I've had this app for years. In the beginning I was delighted and I organized more and more info. Then it kept crashing and I stopped using it. Tried to resurrect it multiple times over the years because I like the idea of it but I'm back to it crashing as soon as I open it. I made sure I had the update, even tried the free trial. I tried spreading content over multiple notes to make sure they're not too big. When it doesn't crash, it's slow to respond. Not a good thing when you quickly want to capture thoughts/ info. I really would like to use the app but it's just not working for me. I don't know what the problem is.
The bug where the formatting ribbon would cover sidebar elements has been fixed, but I still can’t get over the bad design of the ribbon. Functionally, it’s fine, but aesthetically it’s pretty awful. The ribbon floats over the sidebar and notes columns. Worse, if you collapse the sidebar the ribbon then blocks the hamburger menu. You have to exit the note to access the elements in the lower left of the screen. Tap tap tap tap tap tap tap. If a note could be edited in full screen then the ribbon spanning the entire width of the iPad would make sense, but you can’t so it doesn’t. It should really be constrained to the width of the active note.
Update: Newest update fixed this bug. I appreciate the developers being on top of it. My rating is back up to 5 stars. I’ve been using Evernote for almost a decade without single problem, and my business is dependent on it, but since I updated my iPhone to iOS 16, it will not let me login. I put in my email address, and click the continue button, and nothing happens. I restarted the phone, updated the app, deleted and re-downloaded the app, and still nothing works. This is unacceptable for an app that people depend on. I will update my review when Evernote fixes this ASAP.
I wish we could see the PDF inline. It’s very annoying having to open up the PDF rather than just go through the note. And if it can’t be done, I wish it was easier to find the information of the reason why you folks can’t, or won’t, add the PDF inline feature.
Congrats Evernote! My main daily To Do checklist got deleted with no way to recover a previous version of it. I’m so annoyed in deleting the app off of all my devices and looking at which of your competitors has a better app.
