Not always accurate

So I tried this app for a week, and I could take a picture of one gemstone and come up with when identification and then take the picture again and it would give me a completely different identification. Very rarely was it consistent. This is not very reliable. The explanation of each gemstones and its properties is great but it needs work on identifying properly.

I love this app

Gem pal helps me figure out what all my mystery box crystals are and how I can use them. You do not need a subscription to use this app, but if you so choose you can get one. This is my go to Crystal search place.

Inaccurate every time.

I got two different results for the same object, which is made of hematite, and both were inaccurate. The app first said it was aegerine, which is nowhere near right. Then it said it was magnetite, the most magnetic mineral in nature. The object is not magnetic in the least. The third result was magnetite again. All photos were taken in three different types of lighting on two different backgrounds. I had high hopes for this app, but I can’t even adjust lighting or conditions to rephotograph the object in hopes it would finally hit accurately because it’s limited to three tries per day. I’ve seen the developers’ replies to other reviewers suggesting the reviewers were simply wrong about their own gemstones, but the app is simply not accurate.
