This NEW program is worse than the old . Don’t know how you can do that but there are less functions and they don’t work either. It doesn’t keep track of daily use the equalizer doesn’t function nor the microphone. You can still set the volume and see the battery life , that’s it. Very disappointing .
I’ve have two pair of rechargeable Oticon hearing aids. When they work they’re great but I spend more time trying to get them to work. also there’s only one audiologist in all my coverage area who can program them, everyone else is terrible. Oticon does not care. They make their money and could care less about their customers. I agree I wish Apple would come out with a product that works.
This app won’t pair with my hearing aids and the old app is no longer working either!!!
I was forced to download the Oticon Companion app as the Oticon On app was being disabled for use. The Oticon On had finally been working properly and my hearing aids were staying connected (most of the time) and here I am back to square one… this new ‘improved’ app is so much worse than the old app ever was! I have uninstalled and reinstalled the’New’ app multiple times to see if that would help it function any better. Then reconnected my hearing aids as many times as well… Nothing seems to help. Does anyone at Oticon even wear hearing aids? If they did they would get really serious about getting the irritating, frustrating lack of dependable ‘companionship’ between the App and the user’s hearing aids corrected ASAP. It’s now October 1st and the frustration goes on with this Oticon ’Companion’ App… I would not have picked it for my companion if I had the choice between it and the Oticon On App! This app is torture 🙄.
Old app was much faster and more reliable, it takes way too long to start up companion and connect to the hearing aids. Why did you FORCE us to download companion by disabling the old Oticon app? Companion obviously is not ready for general release. When I need to adjust hearing aids I don’t need to wait almost a minute for app to start and connect. By then the reason for adjusting may be over. Please bring back the old app and let us use it until you get companion ready for prime time. Messing with our hearing impaired lifestyle like this is seriously not cool. I would have bought another brand of aids if I had known companion would be this bad. I based a lot of my hearing aid brand decision on the apps. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE listen to us and ENABLE Oticon on and allow us to use it while you fix Companion.
The old app did what this does, but it actually connected well. The new app takes a long time to connect and sometimes several attempts. Sucky.
The previous version of the Oticon app was extremely reliable but someone thought it was a good idea to force me to use a less reliable app. The new version rarely is connected to my hearing aids and when it does connect, it is slow to do so. It offers no real real advantages. Whoever made the decision to retire the old app should be called in for career counseling.
I am constantly having to restart the app. Bluetooth and heating aids. I didn’t have this problem with the other app. Terrible.
Connectivity issues from the very beginning. Tried to pair and connect both ways multiple times and after 4 days of trying to connect decided OTICON needs to be reported to Department of Justice. Absolutely criminal to put this app out and REQUIRE that you use it. OTICON NEEDS TO REFUND PURCHASE PRICE OF THE HEARING AIDS.
I used the predecessor to Companion for over a year with no problems. Companion disconnects from my hearing aides frequently. Sometimes one, most times both. I follow the “troubleshooting” procedures which do not work. I’m using iOS 16. On top of that I don’t see a way to monitor my daily hearing aids time like the previous version. Granted, that could have something to do with the disconnects. Bring back the older version app until you figure out the new one! Please
