The books are great, but the app…?

If I stop listening to a book for a long period like a day, the app will not easily go back to where I was in the book. It will usually just sit there and spin. I will have to go out of the book and come back in. Most of the time that won’t even work. I’ll have to quit the app and then come back in and fiddle with it some more. Basically it’s a chore to resume a book after not using it for a while. It’s not my wireless either. I can be looking at my router 6 feet away and it will still do it. It’s really a pain if I get in my car and I want to leave…now. If I want to quickly start a book, I won’t be able to.

So slooooow

The audio books LAG sooo much. Makes it very frustrating to listen to the books they sell and makes me not want to purchase from here.

Not up to par

App doesn’t show length of book. App has forgotten my place in the book twice. Love the content, app needs some work.

Won’t play

I’m new to the app but it freezes up. I uninstalled and reinstalled it read a brief introduction and froze up again.

Nice app but

The app could really use some updating. Like another reviewer mentioned, I don’t see why the book bundles or solo books do not come with an Audible code. There are a limit to the number of apps we need on our devices. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get the app to synch across devices. I did look on the website for help. If I started the newest Delony book in the car, I could not easily switch to my iPad at home. I had to go to my phone, find the exact spot where I left off then fast forward till o found the same spot on my other device. If I listened on my iPad at home, I could not just pick up where I left off when I got in the car.

Clean app that lets you listen to books

Using this app was a much easier experience than most other audio books I’ve purchased, but it feels a bit redundant. Why develop a new app when you could just offer a code to Audible to download the book? Speaking of downloading books, I have attempted to download Delony’s newest book and the download never completes. The icon just keeps spinning. I’ve quit the app and relaunched multiple times over both Wi-Fi and 5G. So, I probably won’t be able to listen to the book on the plane this morning like I had planned. It streams well though.

Beyond Basic

The developers could learn a thing or two from Audible. I’ll buy my Ramsey books direct from Audible from now on. This app is glitchy, audio is slow to load, and it doesn’t pause when the phone’s microphone activates.
