I only wish they had some of the basic functions like serving size prep time vs cook time etc.
I originally downloaded this app so I could skip all the ads and bloat on a website with a recipe. But it’s such a good library to hold recipes. I have meal preps, dinners, scanned recipes from books, cocktails, etc. I also use it to share recipes with friends, easily create a shopping list from my recipes (so I don’t over spend), and it’s fairly easy to follow along the recipes. There are a few bugs here and there but nothing that hurts the experience too much! Shoutout to the team! If you read this review you should be able to put how many servings a meal is when creating or scanning a recipe!
Everything finally in one place!!! No ads, no need to find the "jump to recipe" button - your favorite recipe is converted into step-by-step pages and can be scaled up or down as well as converted for units. So many other features that make make cooking a breeze! It took a while to set up, but has now changed my entire way of meal planning, shopping, and cooking — freeing up more time than I thought possible!
Has a lot of what I want, missing a couple things I need Overall a great looking and easy to use app to collect my personal recipes. Subscribed! Things I need that I hope the dev needs to add: 1. Scheduling meal plans for breakfast, lunch, dinner (see Mela). 2. Syncing non-recipe notes in meal plan to my calendar. 3. Tapping on ingredients should "mark" them. I don't want to be in a cook to do this. 4. Tapping on steps should highlight them. 5. Coming back to the recipe should reset it (including scaling). 6. Let me mark as cooked and track number of times I cooked something. 7. Meal planning history management. Bugs: 1. What's a mini cook? Doesn't seem to do anything
This is the recipe app I’ve been looking for. Its ability to import recipes is phenomenal. Just as importantly, its ability to export is remarkable, including the ability to export in Markdown format, which is a pretty natural markup language for recipes and isn’t something I’ve seen anywhere else. When I experienced a minor glitch with the Markdown export, I emailed the developer, Will, and in short order he had updated the app with a perfect fix. Highly recommended. More expensive than other recipe apps, but a great value for what you get in return!
On top of being the perfect app for managing my family’s hodge lodge of recipes, Will provides excellent support and was able to get a Pro license issue sorted out for my sister. Highly recommend this app over the other recipe managers.
Tried importing about 10 recipes from a bunch of popular websites and was told the app couldn’t pull out the details on any of them. It’s really no better than a note with links to all your recipes.
I want to give this app 5 stars. However, it would be great if it could generate a shopping list directly from the recipes.
Going to chime in here and say this is so much better than what’s out there for iOS recipe apps, you really nailed it. I tried to use the app cooking recipe method by trying all of them on android and iOS, but they just didn’t cut it and make me want to use it. Your app is great! Good luck on the future!
absolutely killer app, definitely recommend if you enjoy cooking :)
