What a shame to lose Audm

I can’t complain about the app itself. It is easy to navigate and will laid out. However, it is very sad that we are losing access to so many wonderful magazines that Audm carried, now that Audm is being re-packaged and retrenched in the narrower NYT Audio app.

Still hearing ads

The only reason I gave this app a try is because I assumed I wouldn’t hear any ads because I have a NYT subscription. I listened to a daily episode this morning and it still has ads. I’ll be going back to Pocket Casts

Really well done

I’m impressed with the polish that went into this app. It’s a great podcast app with most of the features you’d expect or want. The exclusive content is nice as well. The part I struggle with is that I prefer to use a podcast app that collects content from a variety of sources (Pocket Casts to be specific). If they really want to gain more user traction with this app, they should consider allowing you to follow any podcasts, not just NYT content.

Wish it was on Spotify

App hard to navigate. Why is it when I click the headlines after the ep is over it jumps to stuff I’ve added? Why not keep playing stuff from the same show. Weird.

Good App than needs CarPlay support

This is a wonderful app but given that so many of us will be using it on our drives it would be helpful to have CarPlay integration

No sync across devices

I came for the lack of ads. I left because I use both an iPhone and iPad to listen and need part-listened episodes to remember their place between devices. I’d pay (extra) for an ad-free subscription in the Apple Podcast app, instead. That would be a better experience for me - both for the functionality and also to have all my podcasts in the same place.

Yay for audio, but I wish it was not a separate app.

Bravo to NYT for finally introducing audio. However, I wish they simply placed an “listen” 🎧button online and in their already existing app (similar to The Washington Post.) One drawback is that there is no access to comments in the audio app. You can not read or write comments.
