The actually app seems great which is why I gave it two stars, but I can’t get past the first lesson without either paying $120/year or $18/month. I understand charging for the service but how it’s done is very disingenuous.
I love this app cause i can now communicate with deaf people
The lessons are clear and there’s even a mirror option to see if you are executing the movements correctly. Love this app, can’t wait to be conversationally fluent :)
Use this app. It’s fun and easy and I am so addicted to this language. I’m not very good at languages but this is easy
I love this app because my family witch is my stepdad is deaf and I had a hard time signing and when I found this app I was so happy now I am learning how to be better
I like it. It is helping me with my sign.
I want to learn ASL badly because people in my family are hard of hearing but this is so expensive. $18 a month? Are you kidding me? It should barely cost anything at all. If you want people to learn sign language STOP CHARGING FOR IT! And after the first lesson too?
I love how the material is taught. However, I am constantly having to delete and redownload the app because it constantly crashes. When answers are submitted it will not grade due to “slow internet connection”. I have used the app on four different internet connections and still get the error. The only fix is to delete and reinstall.
To the developers: please add a ‘skip’ or ‘reload’ option for all your apps prompts. The app is mostly good so far (about 2 weeks use), but I would estimate 20% of prompt videos don’t load. There is no good way in the app to report this. Every time I have tried to report “Video not loading” the report ALSO fails to deliver. And there is no way to tell the training algorithm: “I can’t see the video can I please skip ahead” or “I can’t see the video can I please reload the page ?” My current dumb workaround options are either purposefully answer randomly / wrong just to move forward, or on some pages (eg, the multi-step dialogues) just back out and start over from zero.
it!s so easy, and fun!
