Aside from this app being slower than dial-up Internet, you’re out of your mind if you think I’m going to pay actual money to use an app I have preloaded on my phone for free already(a.k.a apple maps.). I was hoping I could use this app to add multiple stops along my road trip and create a more personalized route. But hey, I’d rather be naïve than a sucker. Imagine how great the App Store would actually be if everything wasn’t a subscription or “premium upgrade”. I could see myself paying for the premium version if it actually came with features that differed from my other GPS apps, but there really isn’t any. You buy the premium version to add more stops along your trip, I could literally do this for free in Apple Maps. There is nothing to even sell here, you’re literally just buying a regurgitated GPS app with the word premium slapped across it.
I hate that so many apps these days say they’re free but once you start trying to maneuver around the app, you find out you can’t do much of anything without paying some monthly or annual fee.
After paying for the app, as the free version would not allow me to complete my trip, I found it kept rerouting me to roads I did not want to travel on. Would not allow me to select the road I wanted. It is like a section of the road did not exist even though it shows the road on the map. I attempted to use the Contact Us (send an email) and it does not work. Fortunately they only got one months worth of payment out of me. The trip I am planning is on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Once you purchase the app they provide a sample trip of the Blue Ridge Parkway and it is jacked up too. Update: after contacting the developer they did a great job of explaining the issue and provide a resolution. Response from developer was fast and professional. I will continue to use the app for my upcoming trips.
When I opened the app, it grabbed a location near me from GPS and made it my home location. When I attempted to change it to my actual address, I was prompted to upgrade to the full version to be able to do so. Really? How are you supposed to plan a trip without setting a starting point? Failure to be able to change even the most basic information without paying for the full version renders the app unusable to me. I can understand that adding locations, or notes, would require an update to the full version, but preventing a user from setting up a basic profile is pretty unforgivable. Deleting this app immediately!
This is not a very good user friendly app and I wish I had never purchased it!!!! Sad :-(
So easy to use. Can’t wait to plan more trips
Was trying to plan a road trip from Illinois - Oregon - California - Oregon - Illinois and this app was just perfect for giving us the ability to plan out stops for fuel, find great rest stops along the way and even some crazy attractions. I would recommend this app to anyone who is wanting to plan any kind of road trip. On my trip back to Illinois, I was able to follow Rte 66 and see all of the attractions that I have been wanting to go see. The only thing that I had to watch out for was when finding the next stop on my route was that the ‘Smart Add’ feature sometimes inserted the stop in the wrong place so it had me going backwards at a couple of points. But other than that, this is a great app. Thanks for making it happen.
Downloaded the free version, worthless, doesn’t make me want to pay for upgrade, put locations in bizarre order, making the trip twice as long as needed, says you can tap and drag to change order of places? How? Guess you have to pay? Useless!
This app would be a 10/10 if it had landscape mode!!! Update: landscape mode added! It’s awesome now.
Love the concept. It started basic but getting better and it appears the developers listened to feedback and have since updated the app to make it even better.
