Weather Strip’s groundbreaking week-long hourly view shows you the whole forecast at a glance, so you can more quickly choose the best times to go outside. The beautiful home screen and lock screen widgets set new records for the most detailed weather forecasts ever displayed in such a small space. Use the interactive map to see forecasts for any location in the world — including mountains, trails, lakes, and literally anywhere you place a marker. Extreme weather warnings are shown directly on the forecast timeline, so you can see exactly when the danger is expected — including storms, fires, hurricanes, flooding, landslides, and everything else tracked by NOAA meteorologists. We take privacy seriously with NO ads, NO tracking, and NO third-party analytics. Weather Strip only stores location data on your local device, and it always uses approximate locations when requesting weather forecasts. Weather Strip also respects your data plan, with optional background app refresh that automatically learns your habits, and the ability to view your recent forecasts even when your connection drops. Weather Strip is completely free to try for two weeks. After that, a minimal subscription price helps us keep the service running. (Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.) Not all features are available in all locations. Forecasts are issued by Foreca globally and by the U.S. National Weather Service (NOAA NWS) in the United States. Forecasts usually span 168 hours (7 days) but can occasionally be longer or shorter. Designed by data visualization researcher Robin Stewart to help everyone enjoy the outdoors.
Doesn’t seem to play with Apple stuff well. Want to try it out but can’t insert in the lock screen
I found this app on a guide online for widgets on the Home Screen for iOS. I am glad I did, as this app displays really insightful data in a way that is really cool and interactive. As someone who works in forensics and presenting to clients on a regular basis, this makes my chart-mind super satisfied.
I use this constantly to get a good picture of the weather around me.
Family plan subscription would be a no brainer if a watch app was added and a few complications for the watch. Love to see one that includes a tornado pic for a twister warning on watch. Live on the south end of tornado alley.
Best app in the App Store. Essential weather widget.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for: plenty of info at a glance but not too much. Beautiful, self-explanatory UI. It took me a couple minutes to figure out how to change locations but once I did, it’s totally logical how it works. Once Dark Sky goes away in January 2023, this thing will skyrocket. Thanks for a totally well-thought-out and usable weather app!
It is perfection
All the info in one view.
I use Weather Strip every day to see when thunderstorms are likely to arrive. Also, the interface is beautiful!
Once you start using this app you won’t be able to use anything else. It is amazingly data rich, with a single glance you see a week of temperature, cloud cover, chance of rain, wind, and sun rise/set times. The new Lock Screen widgets are great add ons, I can see 3 days of information in the space that other weather apps can provide only the current conditions. This is my favorite weather app hands down.
