I wanted to be able to quickly access USGS flow rates. This app has some of them but is missing a lot of them so I still have to go to the USGS website. Waste of money.
Rarely ever accurate when compared to real time gages on the usgs website. I’m currently looking at West Branch of the Delaware at Stilesville,NY and the USGS website says 540 cfs while this app says .83kcfs which is the equivalent of 830cfs and means this app is off by almost 300 cfs. How can you be this far off ? Worthless app that I can’t believe I’ve wasted money on. And now I’m looking at the East Branch of the Delaware at Harvard in NY and you’re off by over 200cfs when compared to the USGS website! THIS APP IS GARBAGE AND TOTALLY UNRELIABLE FOR REAL-TIME STREAM FLOW. I highly recommend spending the extra money and buying Rivercast app instead which is what I did and couldn’t be happier!
As a towboat captain this is the app weve been looking for. Has gauges with current NOAA links/applicable stages for any river. Upper/Lower/Illinois/Ohio etc. The only recommendation I’d have would be linking it with historic gauges/having a tab for that. Super useful and easy to use, 5 stars for sure
Great app! A widget option for Home Screen would be awesome
Well presented information
River levels are not updated regularly or inaccurate for the Oswego River. I also wish that you could interact with the graph as well as change the timeline to account for more days, and have averages for time of year for Rivers. App could use much improvements and is definitely not worth $2.99.
Payed for it and there’s not even an option to add usgs river sites that I know are there. You can google search them and find them but they are not available to add on the app
You’re paying for the gauges to be worse than if you searched them online. Arguably the biggest waste of money in my life.
Wish it had USGS flow charts instead of noaa charts (or at least the option to chose between them). NOAA charts don’t scale the y axis (flow in cfs) to the current levels so it’s hard to visually see if a river is rising or dropping. Some rivers show flow charts but most show gauge height instead which is far less useful in my opinion. River notification feature is lacking, it would be nice if you could set a notification when a river enters a particular flow range. Overall good interface but it lacks the features that are actually useful
I know it's a work in progress and am pretty happy so far. My only suggestion is making it more obvious where to change the units from kcfs to cfs. I had a hard time finding it and almost gave up.
