Tried installing after they took my $90 and they are directing me to settings/general/device management which has not existed on iphone for well over a year. Doesn’t bode well for support or anything really
I will agree with other reviewers that the app needs smaller time intervals like 15 minutes…otherwise, it encourages them to be on their phone apps at times they shouldn’t. If his phone won’t turn on until 20 minutes into his lunch, and still be on 20 minutes into the next class, what do you think will happen? One more day left into my short 3 day trial…I’m looking at other options.
No longer shows both devices. Continues to keep dropping tablet and only shows phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times and it only shows the tablet for a couple of days then drops it. I wasted a lot of money!
Have had installed for a couple weeks and was pleased until I took a deep dive on some search history. Felt it was perfect opportunity to test out this app. While doing so, I personally clicked on DOZENS of adult websites as well as searched terms of these adult sites and content. In total it was about 3 hours of investigating. Not only did not a SINGLE thing report to the app, they didn’t even report I was online at that time using chrome or mail. Not a single website, not even the clean ones. Not one single search term was flagged, listed, let alone blocked. It was as if the app couldn’t handle heavy content and simply ignored it. 100% can not trust this monitoring my child which is 1000% more important than an adults search history. Do not recommend.
All this is gonna do is ruin your realashionship with your kids
I installed the app on both a Mac book and and IPhone. I configured the restrictions for each user, apps restricted, time per day, everything. Next thing I know, my 13 year old daughter was playing with an app that I had restricted during restricted times… totally overruling the configuration I had set up the day before. (Yes, I double checked everything , every time restriction etc… everything was ok. ) It did work on my son’s iPad, same configuration as the iPhone and Mac. Anyways, don’t waste your money, try OurPact, so far, it’s performed well.
I chose this app because it had good reviews and because it was one of the few that claimed to show calls and text messages. I was disappointed to find that after you setup the txt/call feature (which is separate from the app itself), that it constantly fails to update. Not only that, but it does not reveal the contact of the person in communication with my child, just has the phone number and you have to do your own detective work to find out who it is. As if that wasn’t bad enough…. My child figured out pretty quickly that you can disable the app in the settings. It does let you know if that happens, but you end up having to reinstall the entire thing all over again just to make it work again. It’s a total pain. Personally, I regret paying for this app. If I hadn’t already paid, I would switch immediately.
Your kid will just delete it and the cat and mouse game will just go on and on. It’s not worth the money.
Kids watch for unlocked phone and make changes to all controls. It obviously needs to be protected by a pin or faceid, similar to all banks and other similar apps.
