This app is completely adequate for watching someone live, and reading chat. There’s just too much Facebook on top of it to make it great. Navigating the interface is a struggle. There are way too many things going on, as an example it’s not immediately obvious if someone is live, or it’s replaying a VOD if you click on a user. Gaming groups, people I don’t know or care about in my feed. Put discover in a separate feed, I want a dedicated area just to see content from who I follow. Let people decide what they want to see, maybe in the future I might consider using those other features, but it’s just annoying to navigate as of now. I’m there to watch livestreams, not be on Facebook. It doesn’t surprise me that Twitch is #1 if this is the competition. I like the idea of trying to be a one stop shop for “gamers”, but in its current state I only use it because I have to (favorite streamer is exclusive to this platform).
I forgot my password and tried to recover it using regular procedures such as receiving a security code on my email or sms... but now Facebook asks for a photo ID to share it with a third party company... stay away from anything that has to do with Facebook company... If a streamer is not on Twitch I rather not to watch the stream!
Lately have been having issues where the quality of the video is horrible. Not sure of the qualifications of how it selects what you are watching in but there is no reason I should be watching in 144p let us select the stream quality. Note that this just happens ok my Xbox series x which is hardwired. When I am on my phone or iPad it’s perfect quality. Xbox is hardwired with gig speed internet.
But I’m having a problem going live. When I press go live in stead of letting me choose what page I wanna use or who I want to let see it. It says I’m already streaming without pressing the stream button it doesn’t let me choose my gaming page and then when I do start the stream it only last 5 mins because of a error. The reason for that is because I can’t choose my gaming page and when it streams on my regular Facebook I get the error. Please help. I tried it all by deleting the app turning off my phone and signing out and back in nothing worked
i’ve found some of my favorite streamers that i would love to watch religiously as i do nickmercs & timthetatman on twitch but trying to watch some of who have become my favorites streaming on here even with a great camera their video quality is very bad on this service that i don’t find to happen on youtube or twitch. if you guys could fix the streaming / frame drops / ease of access to things your platform would be much bigger & much better as well, i love watching Nova (FN), Chopstix (FN) Phree (COD: Warzone) & Schlump (FN) but every single one of their streams has such bad quality no matter which camera they have (Nova has an expensive camera for his face cam) & they all look SUPERRRR pixelized when they’re in the middle of a fight (FN or Warzone) i would have given 0/5 stars if i could for FB Gaming
Why are comments on live streams STILL not scrolling? Don’t get it, do y’all not test the app? When the app launched, it worked fine. I could watch a live stream and see the comments scrolling as it went... Over the past few months (or longer) it’s needed me to close out and come back in. Comments will scroll for about 10 seconds and then freeze again. Then the process repeats. I don’t want to watch through the fb app because then I have to see ads even when I support a streamer - which shouldn’t be the case. Please, for to love of whomever matters to Mark Z, fix this app.
Comments get stuck an don’t move at all this has been happening for weeks now and hasn’t been fixed may aswell use gaming within the main Facebook app since that works.
Be awesome if it could do like some other video platforms where you can make the screen small to the side and still browse through your phone.
