Tried signing up and entered my payment and everything. Next day I go to sign in it says my account isn’t activated and wouldn’t let me access any workouts. Unfortunately just thought I didn’t sign up or there was a glitch. A few months later I realized I’ve been charged each month despite me being unable to access any workouts. Best part is I can’t even cancel my subscription on the app!
I agree with all of the other great reviews! beautiful design and good workouts. I like that you can skip workouts and go back to them later like if someone is using the machine that you need. The only thing I would change is to maybe ad an alternative workout for people who have bad knees and can’t do some of the deep squaring etc. (or maybe I’m just doing it wrong) I would also love if there was an option for live group workouts. My favorite fitness app⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have been a follower and supporter of Ms.Whitney Simmons since forever! She is the REAL reason why I ever wanted to start weightlifting. I have tried multiple fitness apps but none are made like ALIVE. I love that she has videos showing the movement and how cohesive it is! On other fitness apps I usually have to do a lot of back and forth clicking but not with this app! The transitions are so smooth because you just click the next button and bam! You’re in the next movement. My favorite feature is also the timed breaks feature. With previous apps, I always wondered how long I should be resting in between apps but this one does it for you! It keeps your heart rate up but still allows you to rest depending on the movement. This app is a blessing and if you are a brand spanking new lifter this is the app for you! Whitney has created a journey for you where you can start as a beginner and eventually move to an advanced lifter through practice! If you don’t have access to a gym, NO PROBLEM! Whitney has at home workout programs that require minimal equipment. You honestly only need dumbbells, bands, and a mat. Also did I mention the alternative movement feature? If I didn’t, this feature is amazing! Let’s say you don’t want to do a barbell hip thrust as shown on the app, you can easily scroll down and see the alternative movement that may be lower impact and still hit all the places! Ugh this app is just genius! PLEASE PLEASE DOWNLOAD IT!! You honestly will NOT regret it!
Quite simple to use once you get the hang of it. Design is uncluttered andDoes not distract from the workouts. However,A few things I could improve. -Guidance on form when exercising so that I don’t injure myself -No audio guidance on what the next exercise is so I can be prepared for it. I just end up losing time when going from one exercise to another. I have to pause the timer to study the next exercise which really breaks my flow. -Inability to create custom workouts.Like there are days where I would like to have a mix so say arms and abs and have it be 45 mins. There is no such option. I’d use the app a lot more if that existed.The focus on just one muscle group but he has become really boring for me.
Thank you Whitney and the Alive team for creating an app that helps me get a good workout in at home! I love that I can break a sweat during my lunch break without having to spend an hour working out (although I love the 55 minute workouts as well!). I’ve been using this app pretty regularly for over a year and I’m so happy to have it. If you’re thinking of making the purchase - do it! You won’t regret it.
Everything missing on NTC is available on Alive. I heckin’ love it. It truly is a beautiful day.
Love this app so much! But on my birthday I skipped a workout and now the whole thing is out of order. It won’t let me skip that workout so now when I’m trying to move on, the app doesn’t register I’ve started a new week or give me checks for any new workouts I’m completing, I wish it had the option to skip a workout!
$15/month subscription to use anything
The workouts are great. But there are no tips or info how to make sure you’re using proper form. There’s no alternatives just in case you don’t have the equipment. Idk $15 for this app truly isn’t worth it. I’d recommend tone & sculpt app to others over this one. But this could be a great app if more was added to this app
I rlly like Whit’s content on IG, but every program on the app felt super beginner. None of it was advanced even though it has “advanced” sections. Half the workouts were like warming up and using bands. I think I like the IG content more
