I wish it was better
I only use the app for early release episodes otherwise I would never use this app, it freezes and quits ALL the time randomly and just has lots of bugs.
Great content, that’s it
Love the fact that I can get episodes early with Wondery, but it’s no longer worth it. The app crashes, freezes, glitches, etc constantly. It’s a fight sometimes just to pause and resume an episode and usually involves a crash. Beyond that, the amount of battery that is used in the background is absolutely insane, no other podcast players I use use up even close to as much as this one does.
Awesome content!
Happy Wondery+ subscriber, the app is another story. Bad UI/UX, crashes frequently, won’t load content if I have a VPN… I never realised you could make an app so unfriendly.
Just the worst
Quite possibly the worst app I have on my phone. It is wasn’t for this being the only way I can listen to Morbid ad free I would have deleted it a long time away. Half the time it doesn’t work, I constantly get errors saying “this episode isn’t available”. I have deleted and reinstalled multiple times and still have constant issues..
App is Slow as Heck
The app has great content but MORE than half of the time I end up just not using it because when I go to turn it on, it is either frozen or doesn’t want to play the show that I am listening to. This is very frustrating especially because I’m paying for something that’s not working.
An absolute disgrace
Deserves zero stars. This app is glitchy and the content is crap. There’s a handful of good shows but the majority of the content is stupid and repetitive. The app crashes constantly and takes forever to load; both have been repeatedly reported but never addressed. Thankfully my subscription ends on March 31 and I will NOT be renewing. Good riddance.
Frustration station
I love Wondery’s podcasts and adore the network. The app is another story. The app is horrible I’ve already had it crash 3 times in ten minutes just trying to download 3 episodes. It constantly crashes. I also wish it would play all my podcasts at the same speed without me having to adjust every time (which also causes crashes). The constant crashes and not being able to download episodes make it impossible to use and make it a waste of money.

Wondery+ is worth it
Love the app, minus the bugs. Just me, or does it seem to lag—pretty often? Sometimes I just want to push play and listen LOL. But otherwise—great!
this app is so frustrating (ios)
I only downloaded and started paying the subscription because my favorite podcast, Morbid, started using the platform and discontinued their patreon. I’ve only stuck with it because now I’m a week ahead of spotify, and I don’t want to have no morbid for a week, but I think I’m going to have to. Let’s start with the fact that it randomly crashes. I’m a hands free driver, I don’t like touching my phone in any way when I’m driving. But often, and I mean typically more than once a week, the app will just crash in the middle of my listening. I don’t have this app open 24/7, either. At most, the app is running (even in the background) for around 6 hours at a time. I constantly check for updates, hoping there will be bug fixes, but there is never any resolve. Second, the app is not user friendly. I can’t easily navigate episodes, and if I’m scrolling through a lot of the time a random episode will open, and i am careful to not click , just swipe. However, the episode will take forever to open, and just freeze the app completely. If you want to open up the details of an episode aka the “show notes” …. well, good luck to you. You also can’t queue any episodes, but it will auto play to the next episode. It also takes forever to load if you are swiping down the list of episodes, and there is no feedback saying if it’s even registering that you swiped or if you clicked on an episode, so sometimes you are waiting for it to load or pull up the episode when it actually isn’t even loading, but you don’t know that, because there is no validation of any function being performed. Honestly, not worth my money. Extremely frustrating and ruins my listening experience. I think listening to ads in the spotify episode would be better than trying to listen ad free on this platform.
