It’s almost 2023 and there is no excuse that a mobile app does not have dark mode. This is the number one reason I don’t open this app on my phone, even though I like the content.
Reporting is great, pricing is fair/debatable whatever- this is a review on the app. It's unacceptable that the app lags when you scroll- it's become so bad that I have to use the mobile site instead. Really dumb, fix your scrolling!
Crazy still no ipad native
The Information auto renewed for me without enough warning. I was caught off guard. They also won’t issue a prorated refund after canceling. I should have immediately canceled my subscription after subscribing to prevent a surprise bill down the road.
They charge $399 for the first year and then after downloading the app it says $299. Now they refuse to refund the difference. Just makes for a very bad first impression.
An iPad native app is needed asap. This is two years now, folks... It's a it disappointing.
Open app that opens browser when you click on article is nonsense. And as other noted: no dark mode, no bookmarks. Very sad and useless app :-(
While The Information articles are top notch, when the reading experience on a browser is better than the reading experience in your native app then you’ve got a problem. This app loses formatting from the original article, doesn’t have the option to bookmark articles for later (or offline reading for that matter) and is missing all kinds of functionality like a native video player or account management. Please add some of these features that already exist in the browser!
DARK MODE PLEASE SAVE/BOOKMARK ARTICLE FUNCTION PLEASE
These are basic necessities for any reading app - the app is unusable on the iPad, and staring at glaring white is awful on the eyes at night.
