Save to Pocket does not work properly in macOS Big Sur currently, when using the contextual menu Share sub menu, nothing happens. The inline Save to Pocket still works, just not the Share sub menu item.
I have had Pocket for over 6 mos. and I'm still finding things to do with it. If at some time in a conversation you say "I can't remember where or when I saw that," no worries, if it's something you wanted to remember you will have put it into your Pocket! This is a very important time in our Country and I'm sure people will want to read about it in the future. I will, so I'm putting things important to me to at least study now and the future into Pocket Premium. Once you have used Pocket you will very much desire upgrading to Pocket Premium. It's more than worth it. I strongly suggest you make Pocket Premium a very important part of your strategy for setting up your computer. This App will become an integral part of your computers' operations. I seriously can't imagine doing without Pocket Premium now. I guarantee, if you get Pocket Premium you will feel the same. Get it and enjoy!
I am in the Healthcare industry and receive a barrage of information daily. Before Pocket, I didn’t have a organized way to sort or the ability to quickly access needed information, for reference. Pocket has provided a simple, efficient way to manage important saved information. Thank You Pocket!
I installed the extension and I added it to my safari browser at the top, but every time I click on the button it does NOTHING. and I'm already logged in to my pocket account, and I've checked there's nothing saved at all. The button is totally USELESS. I've looked up and searched about the issue but unfortunatley I found nothing helpful, seems like I'm the only one with this problem? it's strange.. I have no idea what to do? and I think I'm going to uninstall it
just updated Safari, now the extension doesn’t allow me to type in tags, I just get the first letter of the tag I’m trying to type in, and a list of existing tags starting with that letter that i could assign. not great. that was 80% of the functionality in the previous Safari version extension.
Thanks for bringing this out with Sierra Support ! Only downside right now is the speed the popup disappears (Safari 12), plus there’s no x button to dismiss it fast (if not using tags).
I've had Pocket for years, and it's my favorite way to "shelve" articles to read later. However, I haven't been able to activate the current version of the Safari extension because I can't give it the necessary permissions. I have the same problem with the Save to Medium extension—I can't check the box. If there's some other setting that's responsible, it would be good to have that in the final setup instructions. As it is, I have to Airdrop articles from my laptop to my iPad so I can save them.
Autocompleting tags was the best part of this extension before the Safari update. Now that the feature is gone this extension is almost useless for me. I'd rather add my link on the pocket website. Please add the feature back! Update: an update was just released that added the feature back into the extension. Thanks for listening to us!
I have an older iMac which will not update past High Sierra 10.13.6. The Pocket extension for Safari requires 10.14 or higher. Losing the ability to quickly/easily save to Pocket makes Pocket far less desireable. I’m disappointed and really pretty shocked.
Before, we had autocomplete of tags we already had in Pocket. This new extension doesn't do that. Bummer.
