Understand important news in a moment with: • Reports written for you by real human editors • Curated opinions from voices that matter • Timelines that provide thorough background • No infinite feed – just the news you need • 100% ad-free! News is really important, but following it can be stressful and overwhelming. Brief is a subscription news service that fits the most important news stories into the little free moments you have each day. To do that, our team does a bunch of work to give you just the information you need to understand complex news stories. For example, every news report comes with a timeline so you can catch up with how the story developed. We also customize each report based on what you already know, so you only get the new stuff. That’s how we keep it brief without dumbing it down. No one wants to get stuck in a bubble, so we pull together perspectives from voices that matter – politicians and experts across the spectrum – and let them speak for themselves. If you want to take a break for a couple days, the most important stories will be waiting for you when you come back. You can pick up right where you left off. We think you’ll love Brief, and we can’t wait for you to check it out!
Just another liberal driven media outlet. 🙄
App is OK, but as soon as I noticed you could NOT copy-n-paste from the articles, I canceled my subscription. Most of the time, when sharing a news article (ie on FB, etc) I will copy a portion of the article and comment on it. Without that ability, the app lost it’s usefulness to me.
There’s a lot of news apps and I’ve tried many of them, but this one is by far my favorite. Great and really intuitive feature set that perfectly balances staying informed and avoiding overwhelm, rabbit holes, and excessive screen time.
I came across this app in one of the App Stores “Now Trending” sections titled “5 Great Widgets to Add to your iPad”. Unfortunately the app isn’t optimized for iPad so the widget is ultimately useless except for the headlines. That said I like the app and intend to see out the trial period on my iPhone, and I hope that an iPad app will be forthcoming. I’m not dinging any stars because it’s Apple’s screw up, not the developers.
Disappointed that there's no Android or iPad app for this app. Love the content but if they had an iPad or Android app I would stay subbed
Very good, I like it
Awesome app
You can easily tell their editors still lean left and want to interject their opinions and not facts!!!
It’s like Brief gives you moderate news for the first three weeks of your subscription, then BAM it begins reading like everything else with overly loaded language and melodrama. All news is from ONE SOURCE—the Associated Press. “Sources” noted within articles in highlighted text have become fewer over the past few weeks. And all comments following the articles are from...you guessed it, Associated Press. AP content followed by AP commentary. Moving on.
I used to follow a ton of news organizations on Twitter as my primary way to get the news but after endless hours of scrolling, I’ve decided to unfollow them all because the Brief app is all I need to feel educated on today’s biggest stories. It provides it in a concise yet detailed manner that leaves bias aside which is the best part. I hope this app never goes away because it’s perfect.
