Just an amazing way to start your mental health journey.

If you’re like myself, an average american you would know that access to mental health services has never been a worse issue on our modern day world. This app over the course of 3 days has been having a profound affect on how i go about dealing with my emotions and something I could never get before. I wish this app was federally funded and free for everyone to use so they too can experience what dealing with mental health symptoms is like. Mental Sickness is as bad as Physical Sickness. And you should treat it as such!

Downloaded the app Nov 28 and started the 7 day free trial. Dec 1, I’m charged the monthly price. Jury’s still out on how well the content works, but for someone whose main mental issue is frustration and anger, this bait and switch “free trial” did not help.

Constant re-engineering and content removal are ruining this app

Are you a new user with a subscription? Screen-record everything you do in this app. Here’s why: I’ve used this for around a year now. The content is absolutely great (Mike and Shernita are beyond sublime and force an extra star) but the app structure is terrible, because the app’s structure and guidance for users toward helpful modules keeps being heavily re-engineered. Fine for the new users to get them to the things they need most, but it makes it nearly impossible to find that perfect module that fit you so well as a well-established user, and it forces you to go through an effectively blank-slate, unfamiliar process all over again to get to helpful modules. This feels like being forced to see a new therapist and -destroys- the relationship with an existing user. And that’s further complicated by: The content library keeps having things removed — why did you guys remove the guided breathwork activities?? The guided sleep meditation activities that required no user input and had no question prompts?? The questionless inner child sleep activity was fantastic, and now it’s gone? I used those all the time! It was an absolutely foolish decision to outright remove that content with no recourse to the subscriber. This is enough for me to want to cancel my subscription. And why, why, why is there not a way to simply browse ALL of the available modules? Or bookmark the ones you love for easy playback? The “entries” section is one way, but guess how I found out that you removed the modules I Iove — the entries section shows my favorite sessions, but now plays the wrong video!! The search function is tag-logic based and gives mixed results. Overall terribly frustrating. Speculating here, but if a module is superseded with updated content, just show a note that says that to the user. Don’t TAKE AWAY the old module! Several of my old favorites that were a perfect fit to my situations are completely inaccessible now, replaced with modules that feel off by comparison or nothing at all. Good thing I took assiduous notes on paper when I did them the first time. So, yes users, you should subscribe, screen record your sessions, and cancel, until the developer facilitates an ongoing relationship between the app and you.
