I am SO excited to download this app! I hear nothing but great things! Love the Sorted crew, thanks guys!
Honestly this has been a huge money and time saver! Really felt like I was in a rut cooking the same things over and over and this has really exposed me to new recipes that I either thought was too hard or that I wouldn’t like! All the recipes are easy to do and it is all laid out in a way that makes grocery shopping easy! The app has the occasional buggy issue (freezes sometimes when getting new packs or loading them) but it’s not enough to deter use! I love all the recipes in the app and I hope they add more packs for different occasions! (Maybe add a desert pack or a snack pack - this would really help with meal prep) Only suggestions I would have is to make an iPad/computer version because it’s at times hard to follow the recipes on the small phone screen, it also would be great to have more pictures/videos so that I know what I am making looks similar to what it’s supposed to. Please keep up the great work!
Edit: Thank you developers for your response and the changes you made to the app were great. I have more ideas! Sometimes there’s just one recipe in a pack I don’t fancy; could an option to remove or add a recipe to the pack shopping list be added? Or a way to Choose our favorite recipes and have one shopping list? I’m new to the club and am enjoying the recipes. I made the bell pepper pesto recently and it’s going to become a staple! It is so good! If you’re from the USA like me, get a digital food scale if you don’t have one! They provide some imperial system conversions, but they do not provide measurements in cups. I’ve also noticed a few times that the converted measurements are provided in the initial list of ingredients but not in the actual recipe guide. I think it’d be helpful if there was a drop down recipe list that could be easily accessed without leaving the narration.
Sorted’s Packs app has be so unbelievably useful for weekday cooking for myself and my girlfriend. These folks put together something that everyone can use and the recipes are crazy good.
Every Friday before I crawl out of bed or even put on my glasses I page through the different packs for the week. I’m searching for the key to the next weeks happiness. Bonus overload happens when you go from having just picked out fire recipes to opening it up and hearing Jamie’s voice. I’m sorry he is the best. Barry can compete since he reads with energy in his tone. Every time Mike starts talking I cringe since saying Fahrenheit when you can just say F is apparently a crime. A crime against my ears. One with no punishment to the speaker.
There are two words that I relate to SortedFood: helpful and thoughtful. No wonder these funny guys created apps in such way. Even a person like yours truly with, ahem, rusty knowledge of technology, can easily navigate through the app. Not once it got frozen. Must belong to club subscription to be able to enjoy this app, though. Content-wise, the app is beyond reproach, with zero waste in mind (should you go with their 3 proposed dishes) and variety of recipes to go along with voiceover from the guys. Simple. Helpful. Friendly. Sorted!
Ok, so I had about 3 recipes in my repertoire (and that included sandwich night). The Packs app leads you through basic pantry stocking, they make it EASILY customizable, and super simple to choose the one that is right for you. It has encouraged me to experiment and be courageous with my cooking and I have even developed some new family favorites that have quickly made it into the family shared cookbook!
I love it! The recipes are very good, and you can notice the amount of thought that goes into developing each of the recipes. The idea of staples and using the ingredients you buy per week helps cut down on wastage. The ingredients are used creatively so you don’t feel like it’s the same meal three ways. It makes meal prepping and meal decisions very easy for beginners. I appreciate this app. Also, I love the guys in my ear as I cook ;) What could be better?
