UPDATE (11/17/2020) - Device is iPhone 10 current on IOS updates.. Based on my user experience.. within a week of submitting my review there was notable improvement on all system issues I reported. I’ve been using the app as much as if not more than before my 9/2 review because of this. I waited a couple months to see if the improvement would stay consistent to provide an update. It seems like app availability (app hanging without results) has also improved. Keep it up worthpoint. An app can never be too fast or efficient and striving for 99.9% availability will make your customers (the person who writes the check) very happy. Full stack development is my wheel house.. for what it’s “worth”. 9/2/2020 - I pay monthly for this app and am grateful for the information it provides. But I won’t be paying much longer if they continue to ignore unacceptable latent searches even as much as typing in the search box lagging behind.. this should be a non-issue if the app was architected right. FURTHERMORE it takes on average 3 searches without filters (time it takes to set those those just add to the frustration) for the app to crawl on navigation, data retrieval, and data entry. This is when I close the app and relaunch. They do have face sign on recognition which is awesome! Especially since I do this a lot... do some performance tuning Worthpoint. You charge plenty and should be providing a quality user experience in return. It’s been like this since I joined months ago so not introduced recently or new. I figured things would be fixed by now given how blatemtly poor the app performs. I don’t know if any other app out there that responds like this one does. This one is the worst when it comes to slllooowww user interaction.
I’ve been a subscriber for about a year now mainly for the app access, which at its best performance is mediocre. Over the last week, it frequently stalls and quite simply can’t perform search. When you are typing the search terms, the keys literally freeze on the screen as if it it’s overloaded. Valuable information, but it’s impossible to access in its current state.
I wish this app worked as well as their website did. Especially since I pay well to be a member of their site. I have reached out to them several times to report problems with the app and received slow and poor customer service. This app runs slow, even typing your item to search freezes and pauses. Often shuts down mid search. This is terribly inconvenient when I’m mid-auction bidding on something and trying to verify a value. Saved favorite items will disappear from my list, it will forget my saved log-in, and randomly closes out on its own with nearly every use. More functionality and service should be applied to their app service. It took over a week for my first email to get a response with very little remorse over my complaints and zero assistance with the problems. My responses to that email went unanswered until I resent them again and I was simply asked to uninstall/reinstall and make sure my phone was up-to-date on upgrades...Regardless that my prior emails mentioned doing all of the above already. Stuck between a rock and a hard place of needing this service, but about ready to tell them to cancel. Especially at $40 a month... very disappointing.
I have called and written in so many times about several issues with this app. The most recent, it L A G S so BAD! May not be worth paying for.. how can you get it wrong so many times?
How am I to sign in as a new member and use the app other than a guest ? It won’t show me anything as a guest
How in the heck do you search images? I just signed up tonight for the trial and can’t find anywhere where you upload a photo or item. What am I doing wrong?
I have to continuously delete the app and reapply for it to work better it keeps on freezing ??? been a customer for many many years it never happened we the old App I had wish I never updated to new Worthpoint app Please try to correct this problem I need a quick answer while picking at estate sales can’t wait for the delay with this app thank u
The app can’t even keep up with my typing. If I’m working an auction or at a sale, the app functions so slowly that I’m sitting there waiting for something to happen way longer than I should. You guys have been around for years. You should be on top of this. I see that you’ve been telling people for months that your IT department is hard at work and you’ll probably tell me the same but nothing happens. I get the impression that you’re not interested in satisfying the customer.
They would not except my valid email .that I’ve used since 1998 I have never had this problem with anyone before I am on an iPad Pro a latest version. The concept of the site is great but if it doesn’t work they have real problems with IT
This app could be a fantastic thing. But for $24 a month? It is so slow, it lags tremendously, it usually takes me about 30-45 seconds to look an item up. And by that I mean just being able to type in the name and wait for the search to be complete. Try texting a two or three word sentence to somebody and have it take 45 seconds. Then you’ll understand the frustration. It’s drags, as I type the words get stuck. This is not a problem on any other platform but this one. It is such a headache. I really wish that they fixed it to where it worked faster!!
