UpLift is the first self-help app for depression and anxiety of its kind. It's based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, tested, and shown to work. "I have already had my eyes opened to so many new tools in only one forty minute session with the app." "Thank you so much. I'm seriously about to cry because today's session was so important and useful to me." *SCIENCE* A pilot study of 80 UpLift users showed that in just 1 month, those who stuck with the program had nearly a 50% reduction in depression scores that lasted, as well as a 37% reduction in anxiety scores. (1) UpLift was developed by expert psychologists and leaders from the field of mobile mental health. It's based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, which has been used to treat people with anxiety and depression for over 30 years. *SESSIONS* UpLift provides you with 11 interactive psychology sessions that are around 45 minutes long each week. In the sessions, you'll be answering questions, doing self care exercises, and getting customized feedback and guidance to strengthen your well-being. Here are some of the sessions you'll work through: - The Emotional Equation - Positive Activities - Lies Depression Tells You - Recognizing Thought Errors - Confronting Thought Errors After the sessions, you'll unlock tools in your toolbox. *MOOD TRACKER* UpLift includes a free Mood Journal, otherwise known as a mood diary. Use it to track your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, and watch your progress on your mood chart. *TOOLBOX* The toolbox contains tools that enable you to apply the skills you learn in the sessions to your daily life. Here's a sample of some of the tools you'll unlock with UpLift: - Problem Solver - Daily Mood Tracking - Trigger Plan - Thought Errors - Anger Management - Goal Trainer - Mood Boosters *COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY* Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a type of psychotherapy based on the idea that modifying thought and behavior patterns was more important than understanding the psychological origins of behavior. Because this type of counseling does not require the presence of a therapist, attempts were soon made to automate the process, first with “bibliotherapy” (CBT self-help books), and then with “CCBT,” or Computerized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. UpLift is a new generation of CCBT (now called “iCBT”). UpLift uses our own proprietary programming technology to make it dynamic and responsive and modern UX design to make it a pleasure to use, while maintaining tried-and-proven CBT methods at it's heart. *PRICING* UpLift is free to download and the first session is free of charge. You can unlock all of the sessions and the entire toolkit via an auto-renewing subscription with a 7 day free trial. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription of 1 year will automatically be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same subscription length and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your subscription may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase. *TERMS & PRIVACY* Terms of Service: https://www.uplift.app/termsofuse Privacy Policy: https://www.uplift.app/privacypolicy *CONTACT* Email - support@uplift.app Facebook - www.facebook.com/UpLiftTheApp Twitter - www.twitter.com/UpLiftTheApp (1) - Liu, E., & Pluta, A., & Dobson, K. No support

I loved the app but couldn’t access the sessions due to a glitch. I reached out to App support twice via email, the App Store, and on their social media page. No response. Download only if you really like throwing away $99.

No contact support whatsoever!!!!

I like the layout and how this app is supposed to guide you through CBT. I paid for the premium subscription to access all features and was really excited to get started! But there were a few app issues I would run into (like not being able to proceed to the next module after finishing the one). I emailed the support email multiple times with no replies for assistance with the issue. So after 2 weeks I canceled my subscription and deleted the app. Shame.

So so helpful

This app is really incredible. I don’t have enough good things to say about it. This is the first review I'm writing for an app, that says a lot for me! It’s been helping me tremendously as I navigate through a lot right now. Thank you to everyone who contributed tomaking this happen. I hope many people get to use it and see their days getting better.

I did not finish the introduction part and then the application froze. I’m trying to uninstall and reinstall and will update review with progress.

Charged me a day early

I did a 7 day trial to see how I’d like it. On the seventh day I went to cancel my subscription and I found it had charged me before the day was over. Now I’m out like $60 bucks or whatever it was

Mental health....?

I downloaded this app to see if it’s good for my boyfriend, he is going through some stuff right now and I’m not yet sure that it’s depression yet but it won’t hurt to try. As soon as I sign up and everything, I was asked to subscribe....? For one no, i just wanted positivity in his life when he thinks there isn’t any. Also shouldn’t mental health help be free...? Could be just me but I think it should. I’m so disappointed in this world!

Title says it all. Let me try the app without being forced to give you money!!

Worthless “trial”

Signed up 2 days ago for the free 7 day trial but all the features are still locked. I’ve deleted and redownloaded, signed out and signed back in, cancelled subscription and then resigned up. Nothing. Either it’s a major tech glitch or a worthless scammy trial, but either case isn’t good. What’s the point of a 7 day trial if you can’t even test out the app except for a dumb “mood journal”?

This app can be deceitful - and I want my $70 back

I have been trying things to improve my mental health because I’ve been struggling. I tried this app on top of seeing a therapist. I did the free trial, really hoping to be able to see in that time if this would be useful for me. If it was, I’d have no hesitation in paying for it. The first day, it asked me a few very brief questions. Then a day or two later, I got a push notification to answer a few more questions. It was again brief, and the little slides it had me read were fine, but nothing that couldn’t be found elsewhere easily for free. Then it said that it’s best to wait a few days before “meeting” again. I would have preferred to get into it more, sooner, knowing the clock was ticking on my free trial. I agreed to have the app check in with me in 2 days. However, the app never checked in again. And when I realized it, and decided the app wasn’t worth my $$, it was on the very day my 7 day trial ended, and I had been charged $70. I have no real understanding of what I’m paying for because so far it just seems like some mental health tips you could find with a quick google search. If there is more, this app did a terrible job of illustrating that in the 7 day period. If the app is going to suggest taking days off in between sessions, then the trial period needs to last longer to give people a real understanding of what they are paying for. And it might have been a fluke, but the fact that the app never “checked in” just makes me feel like I got a bit conned.

Does not work at all.

I could not login this morning, it did not recognize my login credentials through Apple although I have a year subscription for $70. Then I found an screen that let me ‘restore purchases’ and that let me at least see some screens, but all my data was lost, the setting screen is a white block with no content (had to force close) and all other content is locked. For what I am paying this is really unacceptable. I have less access than someone who is using the free option. I will update my review once this is addressed.
