"I have already had my eyes opened to so many new tools in only one forty minute session with the app." "Thank you so much. I'm seriously about to cry because today's session was so important and useful to me." *SCIENCE* A pilot study of 80 UpLift users showed that in just 1 month, those who stuck with the program had nearly a 50% reduction in depression scores that lasted.(1) UpLift was developed by expert psychologists and leaders from the field of mobile mental health. It's based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, which has been used to treat people with depression for over 30 years. "UpLift is strongly aligned with the principles and methods of cognitive-behavioral therapy. A carefully done study has clearly demonstrated its positive outcomes for people who struggle with depression." - Dr. Keith Dobson, Advisor and a world-renowned expert on CBT. He's been president of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy and the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and the author or editor of over 15 books on CBT. *SESSIONS* UpLift provides you 12 interactive sessions that are around 45 minutes long each week. In the sessions, you'll be answering questions, doing mental exercises, and getting customized feedback and guidance. Here are some of the sessions you'll work through: - The Emotional Equation - Positive Activities - Lies Depression Tells You - Recognizing Thought Errors - Confronting Thought Errors After the sessions, you'll unlock tools in your toolbox. *TOOLBOX* The toolbox contains tools that enable you to apply the skills you learn in the sessions to your daily life. Here's a sample of some of the tools you'll unlock with UpLift: - Problem Solver - Mood Journal - Trigger Plan - Thought Errors - Reframing Struggles - Goal Trainer - Mood Boosters *COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY* Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a type of psychotherapy that was developed in the 1960’s, based on the idea that modifying thought and behavior patterns was more important than understanding the psychological origins of behavior. Because this new method does not require the presence of a therapist, attempts were soon made to automate the process, first with “bibliotherapy” (CBT self-help books), and then with “CCBT,” or Computerized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. UpLift is a new generation of CCBT (now called “iCBT”). UpLift uses our own proprietary programming technology to make it dynamic and responsive and modern UX design to make it a pleasure to use, while maintaining tried-and-proven CBT methods at it's heart. *PRICING* UpLift is free to download and the first session is free of charge. You can unlock all of the sessions and the entire toolkit via an auto-renewing subscription with a 7 day free trial. There is a single subscription option: $69.99 / year or equivalent in your local currency. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription of 1 year will automatically be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same subscription length and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your subscription may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase. *TERMS & PRIVACY* Terms of Service: https://www.uplift.app/termsofuse Privacy Policy: https://www.uplift.app/privacypolicy *CONTACT* Email - support@uplift.app Facebook - www.facebook.com/UpLiftTheApp Twitter - www.twitter.com/UpLiftTheApp (1) - Liu, E., & Pluta, A., & Dobson, K. Made me feel worse

I tried to use the app but it made me feel worse I’m depressed no one wants to help me and this app is very selfish for charging you if you are on the verge of terrible things.

Don’t waste your time

Trial mode is useless, no way to tell if the app is any good without paying. They should drop the pretense the trial mode is anything but a marketing trick to make you willing to go ahead and pay after you jumped through a bunch of hoops to set up the trial. Doesn’t inspire confidence the publisher is on the up and up.

Not sure if you’re depressed? Try this anyway!

Am I depressed, or just being a drama queen? My favorite thing about this app is I didn’t have to decide. It’s simple, fun, and effective, even for people like me who “might have mild depression” (Uplift’s unofficial diagnosis after I filled out the intro survey). I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to achieve more reliably positive moods. Especially helpful as quarantine messes up our normal routines.

Confusing app

I subscribed a few months ago and after a while could not even log in. The different pages froze and it was not even possible to send an email to the developer. Then I got charged today for an additional subscription without being told and after going to the App Store discovered that the app ad changed its design. Tried to login but couldn’t find a way to do so without subscribing again! The idea is good, but basic function does not work! Upgraded the rating to reflect the great customer service and prompt response. As mentioned above the concept is good, and hopefully the new platform works moving forward.

Tell from the get-go that you’ll need to pay.

I took 10 minutes taking an assessment to be told I can try for free for 7 days then I’d need to pay almost $70 a year. I just wish it would’ve told me from the beginning so I didn’t need to waste 10 minutes of my time.
