Seems Cool But Crashes/Freezes
This game seems like it could be fun but I haven't been able to get very far. I tried playing a few PVP games but the game freezes up. I played the training maps and the game did freeze once. Not sure if its my M1 mac but its terrible. Good thing I didn't pay anything for it.
AMAZING GAME
WOOOOOW
Used to allow units to attack better units
I am the kind of player who likes to flood the enemy with lower-class units, and that used to be allowed. However, they made upper-class units immune to lower-class attack. I learned this when I had an army of 201 units and one enemy unit destroyed it. Not sure why this feature was added but it should be removed. 🙁
Seems OK, but don't understand achievements
They seem to trickle up sometimes, but I've won probably 20 or so single player games on easy mode trying to get the achievement, but it's stuck at 50% for "Easy Apprentice" and others as well. Mainly, if I could have finer control over movement, like stopping points or something, the game would be better. The App Support link goes to a site that doesn't mention this game.
Can't use
None of the text labels for the icons show up. Not sure if this is because I'm using Big Sur and/or because I'm on an M1 machine. But I have no interest in flying blind. I want to be able to read the labels to know what I'm doing. When this is fixed I will revisit my review.
Won't Sign On to Gamecenter
It tells me to go to settings and sign onto Gamecenter, even though I'm playing on a Mac, and even after I've signed onto Gamecenter in the popup window. The game is pretty good. I play it on iPad, but I literally can't play it on the Mac.
Potential to be amazing...
Training and survival mode are awesome and amazing. But the heart of what has the potential to make this game great is real-world play against other humans. However, when playing with another user, 5 times out of 10 the game locks up. I can only imagine it's something to do with the servers...maybe there could be a check for a users' connection before it allows them to play another user to make sure the connection will work alright. It's a shame because game play is awesome. I also wish there was an easier way to play against other humans. It's buried pretty deep behind quite a few clicks. But all in all, a terrific game!
Needs Solo Play
I like the game but I sure hate the idea that I have to be online and playing against a human opponant. This game should have a full blown version with single player only. Too bad really, I would have played it a lot more.
Phenominal!
I am very excited to see this game finally released on the Macintosh! EDIT I am finding that everytime I go to quit out of this game that the application will stall which requires me to Force-Quit.
