I have the Chrome extension on my Mac. Perfect. But the Safari ext. seems to be under construction. I am communicating the issues just in case this is a finished product and I'll change the review when fixed. Sadly, It's missing the side bar where you look at readability and can choose to view one type of improvement at a time. That's critical to effective editing. Also, any change I make in the Grammarly pop-up is gone once I return to my webpage, either by "return to webpage" feature in the popup or by clicking off of the popup. Chrome ext. saves these changes even if I just click off the window. I cannot figure out how to save the changes when I close the popup. Also, i don't see where I can report incorrect suggestions so that Grammarly can continue to improve the app. For example, "fast-food" with a hyphen is correct, according to Grammarly. I have never in my life seen fast food hyphenated. I regularly report things like this to Grammarly on the website and in Chrome. Thank you for taking a look at these issues.
This is an amazing app or should I say would be if… I COULD ONLY GET ON me and my dad wasted 45 minutes until we found one that would let us use it and it was a very complicated progress. I get why it is free. Also it doesn’t look like you really reaponded to any reviews you don't have to respond to mine just FIX IT. BTW I have a laptop and it is an MacIOS or something i dunno. Just fix it. Also the app doesnt warn/tell me more than half of the errors i made because oh, now that you got the app you have to get premium to actually have us correct half of your mistakes.
Permissions for "Grammarly for Safari" include the ability to "...read sensitive information from webpages, including password, phone numbers, and credit cards on: all webpages." I don't understand why Grammarly would either A) need to do that or B) not be able to prevent that. Either way, that permission is a bit too intrusive for my taste. Too bad because it looks like an interesting product.
I like this tool, as it helps me with my fat finger typing habits and fault detection is quite fast. However I have purchased the premium version installed on tmy desktop and the credentials used for safari/itunes does allow to sync with the desktop version. How can we sync the ccredentioals and purchases from different platforms?
Works well, when English is the only language you use to communicate. Installed, and writing in another language, it can become rather annoying.
I started to notice my Safari browser went extremely laggy whenever I open certain websites. I troubleshoot all the extensions I have on Safari and found out Grammarly was the culprit. As much as I love Grammarly but sorry babe you have to go.
It was working great and recently when I try to access it I'll get a notification box that says, "You're all set. If you don't see Grammarly in your Safari toolbar, try restarting Safari." Which I have been doing. The app doesn't work. I have to go to the actual website to try to use its function. SMH.
Impossible to but product via extension
Grammary was great, until recently I had to take AP exams, and I needed to uninstall my plug-ins/extensions. Now I'm done with AP and tried to download it back... Guess what? I clicked the "Continue to Grammarly" button for hundreds of times and it had not response. Gotta fix it dude and stop putting your ads everywhere on YouTube if your product becomes such garbage.
The 'new' Grammarly is far worse than the old. This one interferes with too many sites . . . will not allow me to online bill pay if it's truned on. Won't let me submit forms. And it continues to have its own errors in grammar. Do not depend on it being Grammatically correct. Instead, keep a small notebook with the grammar rules you get tripped up on next to you and double check it would self as you double check what you wrote. One bonus to doing that is after a few times you will have memorized it and will eventually have no need for a program.
