I’m trying to get my financial house in order and my first priorities are to set up a budget and stop overspending on stupid things. My banks track all this stuff for free, but it takes a little more work on my end, so I wanted an app to do it for me. Giving users a $90 hit to the wallet immediately upon downloading an app that’s meant to help improve their finances is absolutely unacceptable. I’m out. 👋🏼
I prefer my money apps to not commit fraud even if it is now legal the idea of a service that is supposed to reliably report information to me instead lying in the 1st 30 seconds. Na Fam, this is a pass, I’ll stick to getting robbed by Wells Fargo
I’ve tried a handful of budgeting apps and nothing compares to Monarch! They make budgeting fun and everything simply works—I’m able to focus on keeping up on my budget and not fine tuning my budgeting app. I cannot recommend highly enough!
Wish there had been a warning before I subscribed. Lost $9.99…
Trying the trial. It won't let me put cents on half of the amount inputs (expected category amounts, beginning balances, goals). Instant red flag if I'm being prevented from having any detail in my financial planning. I did like that I can import Apple Card transactions but since it's just exporting a statement it will always be a month behind. Not their fault but not ideal. Too much white space on the iPad app. Promising ideas here but I'll stick with YNAB for now.
Love this app! Way better than Mint.
The web app is really great too. My favorite feature is the ability to forecast your budget, which allows me to plan as many months into the future as I want.
9.99 a month for something that you can get for free many places. Yeah those free places will use your data for all sorts of “commercial purposes”. But Monarch does too - you just pay 9.99 a month as well. How stupid.
Love the features and the design is phenomenal. A joy to use. They consistently release improvements. I’m in it for the long haul.
