The Best Off-Road Trails In The South! Windrock Park is the best place for dirty fun. Got a SXS, a Jeep, a four wheeler, or bike? Then you're in luck, my friend. It's about to get wild and muddy, just the way we like it! Explore our grounds, purchase an interactive offline capable map for use on our trails and stay informed.
Not only is this an app review but the park review. Very little if ANY trail maintenance. Trail 57?? Take your chainsaw and rubber boots
Someone studied the Disney model of monetization. Dollars to get in and dollars to get around. We don’t need anymore crapola apps on our devices, either. I think I’ll go ride the KAT or the DBBB instead.
Before making a decision on whether to download the app or not, be sure to check dates on the negative reviews. Most of them are from the early stages of release. Make sure you subscribe when you have internet access for best download of the map. I recently downloaded and used this app for a trip to Windrock to run Panther Rock trail 51. Anyone that’s been to the park knows how big it is and how many intersecting trails there are. The general store offers a paper map for $7, for me the $20 price for one year of active map use was worth it. Knowing where you are on the trail and not just looking for the next trail sign was very helpful. The park also has multiple maintenance offshoots that can be confusing for first time visitors. There are also points of interest locations and trail information data all on the the app. The clear color markings of the trails will help you avoid the double black diamond trails that don’t look so bad in person, at least not at the trail entrance. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the fact that the map doesn’t move with your location. You have to move the map to keep your location pin in view. It would be nice if the orientation would change with direction also. It is locked in a north south orientation like a paper map set on a table.
I bought this about a year ago and it still works great. I expect to have to pay for another year soon but will because it is worth it to have something that is easy to use and is very reliable.
Useless “free” app that cost $20 a year to use with a high failure rate and won’t work on multiple devices
The app will give you access to windrock park map with detail trails numbers that you can follow for easy navigation while showing your location on the map. ( iPad need to have GPS so it must be a cellular version ) I was able to download the app to my iphone and download it also to my iPad ( i only paid once ) both apps are working great. 11/23/22
We were able to interactively see where we were and make changes due to GPS! Very good purchase.
Why should you pay for a trail map? How is anyone supposed to plan a trip?
It’s a free app to download. But once you download and open the app you have to pay 9.99-19.99 to even use it? The only thing I wanted the app for was to access the map. The other features you can do on their website for free. I guess I’ll just use their paper map when I get there. If they were just up front and made it, idk 7.99 in the App Store, then you have access to the maps, I’d be totally cool with that. It’s some shady business that they’re doing it this way. I’m well aware that windrock likes to nickel and dime you for literally everything. But come on. There’s a line. This is a little much. And according to the other reviews, even if you do pay for it, the app doesn’t even work properly. Save you money, use a different geo map.
Mad open to a spot with nothing there on apple just not good can’t buy or nothing
