I can’t believe the company went from $9.99 a month to $9.99 a week. That is a freaking rip off. I just received this response from betterme and they don’t understand that I was on a $9.99 a month plan and it was canceled by them and then when I tried to sign up again it was changed to $9.99 a week. “Hello, Please note that the cost of BetterMe Running app depends on the subscription plan that our users choose, and there are several options. We hope that everyone finds something that suits them best! Have a great day, Team BetterMe Running”
Bad experience. Fortunately, I got the refund.
So far so good!
This app looked interesting but it wanted to charge me $120 in the first 30 seconds of opening the app. No, thank you! I’d be interested in a few version to start and then maybe a paid version but this is ridiculous.
You can’t do anything in this app without signing up for a subscription. Do not believe them there is no free trial.
This subscription has continued to charge me even after I cancelled.
I never Bought this app and I have a charge for $119 and also it is imposible to cancel because they eliminated all access.
Reading other reviews I was cautious about going into the app as many people said you could only do a full year plan. The maker of the app kept saying “go into settings and change that” however you can’t even GET to the settings without paying $120 for a full year of service. Even the reviews are doing a bait and switch. Don’t fall for it.
Do not make the mistake of thinking this app is free. After 3 minutes where you enter in your weight, height and desired weight they recommend how much you run. Everything else this app has to offer is $120 with no payment plan system other than the one time annual payment. It is unethical and very unprofessional to advertise a free app, and before you can even access the app they demand $120. Some ideas to make this app better. (1.) Have a free version of the app with limited tools but don’t make it worthless. (2.) Offer payment plans that are monthly and not annually. This demonstrates that you are more willing to appeal to the customers you want to bring in. (3.) If you are going to charge $120 for a running app throw in some incentives, or membership rewards otherwise your revenue will not increase.
