My wife gave me an MLM for my birthday and I’ve used it every day since. The app gives me a clear view of my club gapping and the ability to analyze my shots through the recordings. I’ve been able to improve my game remarkably by testing minor changes using a net and mat in my garage. I would definitely recommend to a friend. It does randomly crash on me occasionally. If they fix it, I will upgrade to 5 stars.
Once I set it up, and updated the firmware, everything worked perfectly! I’ve found a lot of success when using it for my wedges. I’ve been able to dial all of them in with my stock swing, 3/4 swing, 1/2 swing. Lowered my handicap to a .8 and have been a birdie machine since I got!
Absolutely fabulous. I received it about 2 weeks ago. I have used it numerous times so easy to setup only takes seconds. Figured out a couple gaps between clubs. Well worth the price for all the data you get. The video capability also allowed me to see a flaw in my swing that I am now working through to correct Excellent overall product
This is exactly what I was hoping for. The only negative is that I wish it had more stats, particularly spin but I knew it didn’t have that before I ordered, so I can’t knock them for that they tell you everything it does. Positives: so far it is very accurate. It’s very simple to use. Extremely portable.
I’ve had Rapsodo for about a week. It’s a neat product. Setting it up was very easy. I looked at prior reviews prior to purchasing and the one time configuration process seemed to confuse some people. The goods news is that it appears that Rapsodo found a way for the launch monitor to be auto-configured now. That means no need to configure it yourself. You can open the box, charge it up and pair it your iPhone and be ready to go within a few minutes. As for the product and its accuracy, the carry yardages appear accurate based upon my known shot distances. The shot tracer is a cool feature and also appears accurate when comparing it to my ball flight of the shot struck.
Works well, accuracy aligns with range finder on targets. Positives - Easy to setup tracer of shots Immediate feedback on shots, distance, etc. Has dialed in club distances Nothing negative at this point but would like to customize what is presented when using, like shot direction -/+ versus other data points. I’d like to see how they can use the “higher” level cameras to derive more data from an iPhone Pro for example. I’ve seen some data delays, some deleted shots re-appear..but again nothing that would stop my use.
I like this device. Easy to use and helpful. It’s pretty accurate and the shot data is well organized. Four things that should be addressed: 1) Text size in notifications is very small and messages are wordy, 2) it overheats my phone 3) the notice when it overheats asks if I want to continue, but has only a “yes” response. 4) when orienting the shots to the range at the start of a session, it’s very difficult to align to the range. So the map makes it look like you’re getting practice shots into the parking lot. I’d buy it again. Hoping this list helps the developer improve the product.
I’ve used a lot of golf products over the year to help my game. But this one is by far the best one for immediate feedback. It also come at a fraction of the cost of other launch monitors. I would like to see maybe an app for the Apple Watch where I could change clubs and see the data from the previous swings. But al in all this is a great product and app
After some hiccups with bugs in the first releases, the system has stabilized nicely and is functioning as desired ... well nearly... with one caveat which is the overheating of your iphone if left in the sun on your MLM -even if the weather is cool-. The combination of the black screen picking up heat and the app intense use of the processor leads the phone to a shutdown to prevent overheating... any patch that one could put over the phone screen to avoid this? Or offer a different add-on device to record the shot? Option to not use a phone for video if we just want distance and ball soeee? But in the shade it’s a great practice tool, that delivers on its promise, with significant potential to get even better with future updates (e.g., tracking progress over time, better “games”/ virtual course, ...)
It took a little while to set it up. That being said. I have tried a few different budget friendly lunch monitors. They all have their pros and cons. This one is my favorite. Shot Tracing. I love the video feedback. I love that it shows you How far off line you are right to left. No other portable launch monitor does this for you. That is budget friendly. I am in Florida. Unfortunately the Florida sun overheats your phone rather quickly. This is a drawback. That being said it is a drawback to most of these kind of devices. You just need to get to the range extra early in the morning. Which I should do anyways. Would love to see a indoor version or net version. I’d like to see a way to keep a backup battery on the phone while using the MLM. Not a deal breaker. Maybe they could make the MLM bigger with a bigger battery that also charge the phone while in use.
