Just tried this app for the first time. Very accurate readings alongside my Garmin Approach watch. Much happier wearing one watch than two! And of course, preferring to wear my Apple Watch! QUESTION: (While I’ve been waiting for your answer, I was charged $6.99 for the monthly subscription.). I’m sure I want this so I’d like to convert my monthly subscription to annual ASAP. There are two choices: “Tag Heuer Upgrade to annual” and “Tag Heuer Premium annual?” Is there a difference? Is the “upgrade to annual” only available to existing monthly subscribers - so is that the one I should choose?
I previously wrote with a 3 rating concerning the iwatch version. Since I have been using the iwatch only version it has worked great. My only issue is the battery drain to the iwatch. Typically it uses 50 to 70%. Make sure you have close to a full charge. I do not believe it is worth the $40 price for iwatch. But since I got stuck with the charge I might as well use it. But I will not renew do to the cost and battery drain.
I am a long time user and have always loved the app being stand-alone, it’s simplicity coupled with great graphics, and the accurate distances. And now you have added recommended club selection info to the Apple watch—outstanding!!!
What happened? On the latest update I can no longer scroll and get distance beyond the middle of the green on my Apple Watch. This was one of the best features.
Help!
App works great with the Tag Connected Golf Edition watch. The only issue I’m consistently having is although I have the option selected to record golf rounds as an activity in Apple Health, it’s hasn’t done so in the last few months. Would love to have that issue resolved so I’m not having to enter manually.
I know they have been having a connection issue to the Original Connected watch. I have downloaded, rebooted, reinstalled and still the app doesn't open on my connected watch. Even after whatever changes they did to the app. This is as of Feb 14 2021. Wish it would open.
After the recent update, my watch and iPhone are having difficulty syncing during three trips golfing. First trip, my watch couldn’t locate the golf course. The watch was useless so I only used my iPhone’s app. Second trip, I tried to only use my watch with my iPhone on my golf cart. Everything worked well on my watch and on the course. At the end of my round, my scorecard didn’t sync with my iPhone. I lost all the measurements and scorecard when I selected End Round. I didn’t get a “Tag” mileage activity on my watch for exercise. It was like I didn’t even play except for my exercise time on my watch. Today, I had my iPhone and watch tag teaming. My first watch measurement and score didn’t sync with my iPhone. Second hole, I used my iPhone to record the shot and it was fine. The two devices weren’t working properly. My iPhone wasn’t on the right hole after I placed the score in my watch. On the 13th hole, the devices started to sync up so my score transferred to my iPhone. However, when I finished my round, I had two scorecards. When I first experienced the problem of not syncing, I tried everything from deleting and reloading the apps, checking my OS and crossing my fingers. I’ve played several rounds before the update and everything was great. My only complaint was the fast draining of my watch battery. I’m nervous it will not hold on for a 4 hour round. I’m usually down to the 30’s range with a 100% charge to start. Last week, I played and the syncing didn’t work. I continued using my watch and put my phone away. At the end of the round, my scorecard was filled and shot distances were recorded. I earned watch exercise credit to close my exercise ring but no description of the activity of golf. My fully charged watch only used up 50% during a 3 hour round. Preparing for a round this week, entered the new course with some fake scores. The scores on my watch transferred over to phone flawlessly. Could the syncing problem be resolved? I’ll provide an update to test the battery life and exercise activity. Thank you to the developers for reaching out. I’m changing my review to 4 stars.
My first time since the forced switch from fungolf, and I was seeing middle of the green yardages that were longer than back of green yardages last Saturday. On a 12mini. Odd, hoping just a fluke. One request- I play a lot of the same courses. I would LOVE a way to see my history on particular holes, similar to the way when a pro plays on Sunday, the graphic shows what that golfer scored on the hole the previous three days. A way to see my history scores on a particular hole while playing that hole, that would be my dream request. Fungolf used to be very receptive to new option ideas, hopefully you are too! 🤞
Enjoying the iPhone and the watch app so far. For the iPhone app, 3D maps aren’t very useful without showing the elevation correctly so I feel like it’s a gimmick. I am sure a lot work went into it but not sure how useful that is. I really hope they can show accurate elevation with future update. For the watch app, I’d like to record a shot like you can on the iPhone app. I didn’t see a way to do that on the watch app. If it auto detected the shot, that would be even better. 👍
