So intuitive, amazing user interface, makes budgeting…. Almost fun?! What the heck haha. This is the only app review I’ve ever written- truly an amazing app
This is the app for you. Seriously though having every single account in one place and being able to create a budget is extremely helpful. You’ll save more money than you will spend on this so just do it.
The app is well laid out and easy to understand and is helpful for tracking expenses and income. I just have one request: amount based rule creation. Instead of just creating a rule based on specific merchants, I’d like to be able to say if I go to Shell and buy a RedBull, it goes in my food and drinks category because the transaction is under $10. But if I go to Shell and get gas, it goes in the car category because the transaction is over $10. Something like that would be super helpful!
I have been using this app for a couple of weeks now and I could not love it more. I consider this a near-perfect app and maybe my favorite on my whole phone-I am easily in it many times per day. This optimized all of our personal finances in one shot and fully replaced what I had previously built in Excel. A nice plus as well is that it is backed by Plaid security standards. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get full visibility around their finances or to enhance their financial health-this app (and the associated widgets!) really could not make it easier and executes in a beautiful and powerful way. Thanks again for doing what you do!
CoPilot is by far the best budgeting app that I’ve ever used. I work in corporate finance managing large budgets and spreadsheets and wish I could have something as simple as this. In the past I’ve used Mint, Personal Capital, and Truebill… CoPilot is by far the best once you get it set up with all of your category automizations. It even automatically adds in expected quarterly or annual budget amounts so your monthly budget automatically updates to accommodate. This app is literally a “CoPilot” that helps me feel like I know what’s going on with my income and spending each month. I just wish I could also have a separate business account for managing my side hustle budgets too. With CoPilot, I’ve been able to find unexpected transactions to cancel unwanted subscriptions, fees, and know how much I can actually put away in investment accounts for my future. Keep up the great work team!
I rarely write a review, but I love this app so much that I think it deserves it! I have used Mint for over ten years and became so frustrated with its lack of updates, and endless ads. I also would make a budget and then completely forget about it. The straw that broke the camel’s back was that I lost years and years of data from Mint when my bank account bugged out, and when I rekindled, only three months of transactions could be imported, making my 2021 taxes impossible to calculate. In searching for a work-around, I stumbled upon a few different budgeting apps and gave them a try. I won’t even mention the others besides copilot, because as soon as I gave copilot a try I was blown away. Not only is the app beautiful, it imports two years of transactions, it’s easy to categorize everything, customize categories, and link institutions. Once everything is set up, it gives you the most beautiful visual of your budget, and if you’re meeting it or not for the month. Additionally, it takes into account recurring expenses and subtracts that from your budget before you even spend that money. You can also set bi-monthly, quarterly, or yearly recurring expenses that are also accounted for when they come up. This makes budgeting dynamic and specific to each month. What’s more, you can add a widget to your Home Screen of your budget so that you have a constantly present and updated visual every day to keep you on budget. No more setting-and-forgetting like with mint. Copilot keeps you in task. To make copilot work for you, I would highly recommend putting in the extra time to make sure all of your past transactions are properly categorized to give you the best sense of your monthly spending so you can set a proper budget. The $70/year is more than worth it. What a PERFECT solution for budgeting. I hope they make an iPad and Mac app at some point. Goodbye Mint!
The widgets they advertise just straight up don’t exist. I go to add them to my home screen (even by searching) and nothing.
I have started using copilot this month and WOW! It’s awesome from the user interface to being able to split and exclude purchases from you budget. It’s a very reasonable cost and you can get more free months by referring people!
i honestly love this app. it has transformed my relationship with money. i love the categories and the live spending updates. super helpful features and on top of that the customer service is great ! if you’re reading this, this is your sign to become a smart money woman (or person!)
They should really be more upfront about the cost. They make you fill out all the information and then give you the cost after you plug-in everything into the app. That’s just annoying. I would’ve actually been open to paying the lowest amount if they just share the information ahead of time.
