My family and I used this app for both the freedom trail and Harvard Yard. It was a great self paced option for the freedom trail and offered extra information at some areas. The gps was great and made it easy to follow and the audio guide as soon as you approached the locations.
I am so impressed with this app, it is one of the best Boston guide apps I have used so far, thanks for all the help, looking forward to visiting more places the next time.
The location sensing is very helpful. It knows when you are walking from one point to the next. When you are inside the circle of the point, the audio begins. I really enjoyed the stories. The audio is the real value here.
Used it most to figure out where we were. I like how the app would start playing as you entered a relevant area, although I often had to pause it if I wasn’t ready to listen (in conversation with someone). Content was fine, but wish it had more stories to tell.
We found the running commentary helped us appreciate the sites before and once we arrived at them. Would recommend this audio tour to all ages.
Started out as a free app... but then you have to purchase each tour before you go... they’re each $3.99. I’d rather just pay for one of the other apps
The title says it all. Well designed and informative. Thanks!
We started at Boston Commons and couldn't get the purchased tour to show or tell us anything. I immediately deleted it.
Really loved using this app. We were able to stroll at our own pace and followed the red brick pathway all along. We had some visitors from Out of the State and they loved this app as well as food stops along the way. This App offered rich history Boston has and would recommend to all who enjoy hearing History.
The location sensing is very helpful. When you are walking and inside a circle the audio begins. The red path along the trail is what the app followed. Stories were excellent- all key content included up front. Best after we downloaded it works without a data plan!
