No idea if there’s good (or bad) content behind their paywall, because they won’t be getting my money with a business model like this. Deleted.
One of my dreams is to have coffee or lunch with Ella, Skye & Matt in London. I love all their creations including this app which was beautifully developed, their podcast, and newsletter. (Literally the only newsletter sent to my email that I read lol). I love Ella’s humble, confident, gentle, wise, and thoughtful nature. She’s also inhumanly gorgeous ?!
Delightful, attentive, accommodating staff🧡
So far I LOVE this app, it is so nice to have so many functions all in one place. Really, the more I use it the more I am pleasantly surprised with features. One thing that would really improve this app in my eyes is the ability to filter the recipes by seasonal ingredients! I am a terrible cook, but I try to be mindful in my attempts, so having seasonal recipes really helps me buy local and support my nearby farms :)
it should say that you can’t access the app without a subscription, kinda tricks us into downloading. don’t recommend
Several others have said it. App states it is free with in app purchase... Can’t get to a place to try “free subscription “ without selecting which paid subscription you would like. Should at least have a free one week option, then roll into paid one month if don’t cancel by then
For 9.99 for a year you really get your money’s worth! What a great thoughtful app
I like this app a lot but one thing drives me crazy: the metric to imperial (US) conversion is only partially done. I have the settings toggled on to be in imperial units but most recipes will still list at least one ingredient in grams (ex: the Tahini Slices recipe has both the tahini and peanut butter amounts in grams). This makes it time consuming and inconvenient to have to stop and google the amount in T or cups. I really like Ella and her message and recipes and yoga but honestly this is becoming a deal breaker. Please, please do a recipe audit and correct these errors 🙏🏼
I purchase the app about 10 minutes ago. It’s still downloading. Is this app operational? I hope it works. I will return with details.
For one, what is the paid subscription... only 99 cents but still, there was no indication when downloading the app. Then you do the month free trial and actually are able to see the app and it’s all over the place. You can tell this is someone’s passion project because they clearly didn’t hire a designer. The user experience is horrible and the how to get around the app page is wordy and confusing. The user experience and user interface of this app create something that is hard to use, hard to read because of the unnecessary details in the background, and makes you want to go back to google (which is free) immediately. Invest the monthly subscription back into the app and do yourself some good and hire a ux/ui designer.
