My Movies allows you to catalog your entire collection of movies and TV Series from our world class online data service containing data for more than 1,200,000 disc titles (DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD), as well as movies and TV Series (such as Digital Copies) from a large catalog, from various counties and in various languages. If you have one or more titles that are not in our service, you can report it and it will be created within 48 hours by our staff - a service you will not find elsewhere. Attention Upgraders! Users of a prior My Movies version, or users transferring from another platform, simply log into the same user account that you previously used, and your existing collection will synchronize to the new application. Contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org if you are in need of help. My Movies is your chance to evaluate the full feature set of My Movies Pro. This free version is limited to 50 titles, but otherwise contains the full feature-set of My Movies Pro. You can use the application as a standalone product on your iPhone, iPad or iPod, or use it as a companion to our other software packages, available for all popular platforms, allowing you to keep your movie collection synchronized between clients. The application requires you to create a user account, log onto an existing My Movies account, or log in through Facebook to be able to use the program. Your collection will follow your user account through our online servers, allowing you to switch between different clients without ever losing your data - we have clients available for all popular platforms. If you log in to an existing account, your current collection will automatically be synchronized to your device. You can within the program activate an online web based listing of your collection, allowing you to send friends and family a website that allows them to browse your collection. Notice! The app itself has great features. There is plenty of information about each film. My only problem is with the multi-scan feature. Every time I scan multiple movies they disappear when I go back to scan more. So I’m scanning each movie individually which is time consuming up front. Once movies are scanned in it won’t be hard to add additional films as you go. This may be something I just need to figure out but I won’t upgrade to the Pro version unless I can find out how to get the multi-scan feature to work.
Needing to manage over 700 movies, I tried several apps before coming across My Movies 3. This app took a bit of learning but I am very pleased with all of its features. I use this app on two iPads and one iPhone and love how it keeps my collection synchronized. I use the app on my iPads in a clinical setting with patients browsing my collection to make selection of movies they want to watch; it is great to use the parent control feature of the app to prevent others to make any changes to my collection without entering a pass code. I also picked Movies 3 for the, essential to me, feature of adjusting the display size/number of columns displaying movies. My favorite app and well worth the cost paid for the app on each device. Great online data cloud storage and synch across multiple devices for the one-time fee for each device; other apps with considerably less features and poorer performance require ongoing subscription fees.
I have bought this App twice now! And they will still only let me see the frost 50 movies!! First they wanted like $3, then $5, now they want $10 to upgrade AGAIN!!!
Despite the major version change, it doesn't seem all that different than My Movies 2. For physical discs it's good, just like the previous version, but not very good if you want to catalog your digital versions. You can only add a digital version of a title once. If you have the same movie through Movies Anywhere (and therefor Vudu, and iTunes) it can only be added for one service. Why would I want to add it for multiple services? Mainly because a movie may only be in HD for iTunes but I have the 4K/UHD version in Vudu - simple example would pretty much any Marvel movie. iTunes doesn't have 4K/UHD for most Marvel movies but Vudu does. Other reasons why it's not useful for digital collections is there's no built in way to mark an entry as being SD, HD, or 4K/UHD, HDR10 or Dolby Vision, or if it has Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital 5.1, etc. A handful of my iTunes movies are SD even though HD is available and quite a few of my iTunes and Vudu movies are in HD even though 4K is available, or where one is HD in iTunes but 4K in Vudu and vice versa. If all of that were possible, I'd want to be able to filter on those fields as well. For example I'd want to see only my digital 4K movies with HDR10/Dolby Vision so I know where to go. Also iTunes generally upgrades HD to 4K when it becomes available but doesn't alert you. It'd be nice to be able to check my collection and see that this one movie was recently upgraded. Or sometimes I'll notice the counter for 4K + HDR on my Apple TV goes down but there's really no way to know what got removed. If you have the paid version of My Movies 2, I don't see much reason for me to pay for the new version.
Description says this app can be used across multiple platforms by logging into your account however this isn’t true. You have to repurchase the product. This is a scam. Don’t purchase this app if you have multiple platforms.
This is without doubt the BEST app I have ever had .. useful and helpful . WORTH EVERY DOLLAR
We have over 600+ titles in our library. This app has really helped organize the collection so we don't duplicate titles. We also love the loaned out feature. No more bits of paper with a list of movies on it! 😀
The app is not user friendly outside my iPhone. If my friends could view my films the way I see them on my phone there would be no problem. The trouble is they can’t. Hope you work on this issue. I’m ready to give it a 5 when it’s corrected.
Finally found an app that does what I want it to do. Please make this for video games!
Very nice program for one device, but I cannot get it to sync between two devices even though there is a sync feature (that doesn’t seem to work except for 50 items). I bought the the pro version on and one device and can scan unlimited items but I can’t seem to scan or download more than 50 on the second device.
