I can’t emphasize how much I hate this app! Stick with Apple’s screen time and talk to you kids.
Never does what I want it to, it’ll randomly block my daughters music even though I set it to not do that and it will do this thing where it won’t mark them as paused but she can’t access the wifi until she opens up the mycircle app. Honestly, if you can’t trust your kid to this extent, have a real talk with them, much more efficient than this form of punishment. My daughter and I have had many fights over this app.
I paused network for all but they still have all The accesses as usual. Completely stopped working about 2 months ago. The monthly subscription is paid and active.
I setup profile for my daughter for week days and weekends also web and app filters but everything got blocked on my network, my 5 TVs, my Plex server, our iPads, iPhones, Google Nest, etc… I’m an IT network administrator so this wasn’t an error on my part. Just do like I did and take you kids phone and iPad away at night and check their history.
Terrible quality, doesn’t work
When your subscription expires Circle will just silently drop you! You will receive no emails or app notifications. Instead, without a single WARNING, Circle will allow you kids to anywhere on the internet for as long as they like.
I moved from gen1 to gen 2 circle device a little over a year ago. I’ve noticed since then the parent app on my iPhone responds very slowly when managing a profile with more than just a few devices in it. I’ve worked with circle support a few times helping me do a restore and moving some devices to non managed status. While this helped overall app performance, there is still a distinct performance problem when going into a profile that has more than 5 devices associated with it. If I bring the profile down to 1-2 devices it’s much better. I have the same result on 3 different iPhone models and every iOS versions I have tried. If I use my wife’s Samsung phone with android OS there is no issue. That’s the only workaround that’s kept me from pulling out circle and going with another solution. If you are an iPhone only household, beware
Lightning fried our circle and I purchased a new one, but there’s NO way to contact circle to figure out how to add the circle AND keep my lifetime subscription
Very, very difficult to use.
Couldn’t figure out why I was having so much trouble logging and why nothing was being filtered anymore. I guess the basic free version is no longer a thing. Shame because it was handy to have, but not worth to current subscription prices in my opinion.
