Great app!! Walks you through every step. I’m new to this and very impressed empire this app!! Will definitely stay with it! Thank you!!
I love how they push you to go harder on yourself and push to bring the best out of each session
I am on my second day with Openfit doing Andreas classes, I feel amazing! Andrea I can never thank you enough! You make it clear and easy as to what I should be doing! I am loving this journey! Thank you!! Tina Crew❤️
I used this app all throughout 2020 pandemic but now it’s difficult to find open classes. I am going to have to discontinue my membership next month if this continues—it’s not worth it without live classes. Please open more live classes OpenFit!!
Totally hated the app tried to cancel it the same day I bought the 3 month subscription and was still charged for the full 3 months. I disliked the fact that I needed to buy workout products such as resistance bands, weights, etc to be able to do the classes fully. If I wanted to use equipment I would go to the gym. It was totally the opposite of what I was looking for.
I’ve been on the 14 day trial and I’m loving the meal plans and variety of workouts. I do wish the app had more trackers (for example to track water intake) because drinking water is a huge deal when it comes to weight loss. But my biggest issue with the app is that when connecting it to my smart tv, it sometimes doesn’t show picture but sound only. I’ve also had issues with airplay where it will cuts out after a few minutes into the class. The only successful way to stream it seems to be through the Apple TV. I’m debating on keeping this longer than the trial period. I do also like that you can share your progress on social media, but I was told their is a community you can join for tips and support - still haven’t been able to find this “community” - if it’s part of the app, they don’t make it intuitive to find.
I’m gutted. Up until a week ago this platform was my sure way to do live classes at anytime w/o having to think much about anything. I would just turn on the app and do whatever live workout was coming up. Now live classes are booked out 3,4,5 days in advance. If I can’t get into live classes without prebooking days or a week or more in advance then it doesn’t work for me. This book out happened in a matter of days so I think people are booking tons of classes and then just showing up when it works for them, there is no penalty for not logging in and doing the class. I have seen this happen at gyms that make you reserve a spot. People will book out all the slots for a time they want and then cancel right before the deadline to be fined for not showing up, but here there is no fine, so people have no incentive to even cancel and free up the spot. If the app has exploded and there are just tons more people using it, congratulations! Hire more trainers and open more than one class at a time so that your customers can use the live class feature... which is what sets this platform apart from all the on demand platforms. Please. I need live workout connection and accountability. I love working out, I need to work out. My problem? I can’t make myself do it unless I’ve made a commitment and the class is going to start at a set time with or without me. On-demand workouts, no matter how great they are, are just one more snack for my procrastination monster. I needed an app with lots of LIVE workouts. Openfit is the only quality exercise app I have found with live classes available at nearly anytime. I must workout at 5 am and the other apps with some live workouts only have a handful of live classes a week and usually never before 7 am. Openfit has live classes from 5am -11pm eastern. If you need to make a time commitment to hold yourself to, Openfit’s live classes MAKE IT SO MUCH EASIER. I want all people with ADHD and those who struggle with putting virtual workouts off to know that this is a great platform that offers an array of live workouts that can really help make workouts ACTUALLY happen in your life, not just lots of thinking about and choosing ideal workouts. We need exercise, it’s hard/impossible/not safe to make it to classes these days. You do not have to add that on-demand class to your to-do list. just sign up for an Openfit class at the best time for you and don’t burden yourself with the initiative, overwhelming choice (bc which app do you choose, which workout style, which muscle group, which level, etc) and perfectionism bait (bc you can pause and rewind on-demand to get your form and alignment better) that is the internet’s near infinite selection of on-demand workouts. Openfit is the only app that makes the mental labor of exercise as easy as committing to a time and showing up. *********** Openfit also has hundreds of in-demand workouts, they look great, but I haven’t tried them. Like I said, I can’t start a workout unless I know it’s going to start without me.
I was using this app fine for the first three days. On day four, it shut off in the middle of my workout. I thought it was a fluke so I reopened it and it shut off about three minutes later. Repeat... opened, five minutes later kicked out. It’s the only workout app that I actually enjoy so I hope whatever the bug is, it gets fixed. I can’t purchase an app that boots me out.
The app has great potential but I haven’t been able to complete a class because the app closes out every time I join a class. Even the on demand classes won’t play. I had high hopes for this app
Other reviews speak for the quality, not much to add. My favorites are live running classes, they’re extremely engaging and tracking is very useful for measuring progress. The instructors are amazing and really the best part of the app, what has kept me attached even after 3 years (app used to be called Gixo and got acquired). I haven’t used the nutrition section much, so cannot speak for it
