Try 'Copy Me That' Recipe organizer

1
Guys, this app is no longer properly supported. They occasionally throw out an old developer response but it's pretty obvious nobody’s minding the store. ‘Copy Me That' is not local to your device, meaning your data is stored in the cloud, but it is fully functional. It took me weeks to get my saved recipes from this app into it but it was worth it. I did pay a one time fee for the premium version but again it was worth it. Like many of you I tried to send support tickets and posted in reviews the issues I was encountering but not much was done. Sometimes as IOS has new revisions, developers just can't keep up or can't make the functions of their apps work in the new environment. Some just pull down their apps while others try to trim their apps to work under the new system. Perhaps that is what happened here. We will never know but I need a recipe app that performs well and this is no longer it. ================================================== It's gone backwards once again. If you manage to save a recipe, instead of being able to add categories right away, now you have to find it. How is this progress? This is not going to fly. 'Copy Me That' may only be able to be accessed online through it's app but it's a fully functional recipe saver.

Very glitchy

There are lots of bugs in this app. It crashes A LOT. When I try to copy and paste information, it doesn’t always save and then it crashes. Very frustrating to have to try between 5-6 times to save a recipe. It would be great if the app can be fixed.

Good but could be great

I have used a few different apps for recipe storage and I must say I really enjoy Recipe Box. I like that i can have it on my macbook, phone or ipad and be able to use it together seamlessly. However one key feature i think is missing is the ability to build a menu with it. I love the visual view for the recipes but want a way to create my weekly menu plan. So many other apps offer this that it is tempting to swtich.

Used to be good

I used to love this app. You could easily add recipes, schedule the recipes for certain days on the calendar, and add ingredients for a recipe to your shopping list. For some reason they updated the app and got rid of half of these features. No calendar and the only way to add ingredients to your shopping list is to add all the ingredients for a recipe, which is stupid because normally I’m only missing a few items not the whole recipe. The developers really messed up and I would highly recommend looking for a different recipe app as this one is no longer good.

Good App BUT…

I’ve used this app for quite some time, and I like it, but now it doesn’t seem to want to save any new recipes. Is there a limit to the number of recipes you can put in here? I know I added quite a few lately, but only recently realized ones I had just added weren’t there. Now I don’t know what recipes I added. Usually I add a recipe, save it, and then go back and enter in the category, but now I’m no longer finding them when I go back in. Help!

Being held hostage to pay for app

1
I’ve been happily using the free app for several years now and after my most recent upgrade, I have a “free 3 day trial” screen that won’t go away unless I enter my account information. I then have to cancel out within the 3 days if I don’t want to get charged. There is no apparent way to simply say no from this offer screen, so basically I’m stuck. Either I take the offer or I cannot use the application which I’ve been building with a ton of my data. Needless to say I’m really unhappy. Coming from IT, I have to ask who the heck tested this before deploying???

A shell of its former self

This app used to be great. Since version 3 was released, everything has been worse. There is zero support for this app. All the tickets I have submitted seem to have been ignored. Updates take months to roll out and barely fix the many bugs that plague this app. I am so frustrated by the mismanagement of this app. It was truly something special that improved myself as a home chef. I am starting to lose hope this app will return to its former glory. Read my tickets, fix the bugs, add back the features that used to be in the app, and improve your customer service. There are to many bugs in this app to address them here in this review. All the details I want to include here were submitted as tickets to the team. If you want this app to be 5 stars again, read my tickets and fix them ASAP.

Used to be great, I don’t know what they have done

This used to be an amazing app, easy to add/edit/share recipes but the latest versions have been a mess. Previous (perfect) recipes have been messed up to the point where they are useless. Editing them is impossible - lines get rearranged randomly and while OK for ingredients, it is is not OK for instructions. I have had to delete and manually re-add them. I just tried to manually add a recipe and after 3 tries I am giving up, it’s just not there. And yes I pressed Enter after each line but when saving it, poof… it’s gone. I’ve tried to reach out to support before (I have the paid version) and while they do eventually get back to me, the questions they ask are just silly. I am looking for a new recipe app

Learn it, and your life will be so much easier!

Take the time to learn how to categorize your recipes. Also, if you are pulling from Pinterest, choose the “open with safari (or whatever internet engine you use), it will seamlessly move over ready to go! Love love love love this site/app!!!
