Holy smokes, I finally found an app to help! As a 1099ER I save all my sales slips so this gem is amazing
Look, this receipt storage and organization app is really the only one I found that actually applies laser focus to receipts. It’s easy to use. It works very neatly 100% of the times used. Sometimes the app cant see the vendor’s name. But the thing that gets me to pay for the service is the customer support. But this app and service with confidence.
Thought it was FREE. Until the moment I opened the app and it wants you to start a 7 day FREE TRIAL, and then PAY $99!!! Deleted immediately, nothing is worth that.
Every two seconds it asks me to join the premium version
the only one receipt scanning app that.work.fast.amd free
Despite what the writeup says this app does NOT let you open your files in csv format. Nor can one save data files in DropBox or another cloud file saving service. I’ve been asking them for a couple months how this can be done. I was told I could email my data to myself. But NO! One can not email data to yourself! At least I can’t now that I subscribed for a year. Just try it. Apparently they want you to email your own data to someone else so that person can buy ReceiptLens too for their device and you can beg them for the cvs file IF they get it. Have no idea if I can open it. Then that person you sent your data too will need to send their data to you or someone else so RL can make more money. They never answered my email the last time I wrote them to tell them their instructions to send myself the comma delimited file failed to work. I’ve emailed them since asking them to respond but they ignored that request too. The funny thing is their scanner product is the best I’ve used to pick up Sales Tax almost faultlessly while other apps can’t. I wrote an early review saying so before I learned of RLs uselessness to me for lack of expense data import/export. This app could be a God send. Instead it’s a pain in the rump! If you need to export your data to Quicken, TurboTax or a spreadsheet because you don’t use QuickBooks- friends you are out of luck. I want my $59 bucks back or some clear instructions how I can save my data to my icloud data account or DropBox AND EXPORT a filed openable by a spreadsheet program.
I downloaded this app and tested it on three receipts. My goal was to track business expenses for my farm. The first receipt, from Filaree Garlic Farm, the app read as a receipt from the US Postal service, and categorized it in meals. The second receipt was from Johnny’s Selected Seeds, the app read it as a CVS Pharmacy receipt. These are full page sized receipts, not small crinkled hard-to-read receipts. I don’t have time for this.
I’ll give three stars because it says it’s a NO PURCHASE APP and after a while you can’t use it anymore at least you pay for a subscription. Other than it’s a simple and organized way to keep track of your receipts.
Does okay on basic one item receipts. Most of my receipts have more than one item and often multiple categories. App doesn’t handle those. If it did, it would be a great one, especially for the subscription price.
