Saved my plants!

They all used to die but now I have six flourishing plants. Truly a life saver!

Keeps me from overwatering

I really enjoy using this app. I tend to overwater certain plants and the app has made it easy to water and feed properly

I had a deadly thumb before this app, thank you for giving me a green thumb. I do have two suggestions that I think could be beneficial to other users. 1-Adding in ground for those plants we are able to plant instead of having to keep in pots. 2-in my plants, being able to search by hardiness zone. This would make it easier to find plants that could be planted in each users zones. Thank you guys for keeping a lot of plants out of my graveyard.

Not bad but could use some more things

I like it as it helps me keep track of all my plants and I use the watering schedule as a reminder to check on my plants’ soil. I like the cool features like telling us the lumens of light in a area, and being able to sort the plants by room and individually. It’s also nice to view the plant’s data and learn more via there. I like the wishlist, but I wish we could add our own notes on the plants as well. I definitely think it could be improved though; I’m someone who likes a lot of customization. It would be nice to be able to: -change the species name without removing the entire plant -add plants that aren’t in the database for ourselves, not “adding a plant for review” and not being able to use it -add other reminders ourselves; ex. It would be helpful for me to have reminders to spray plants with pesticide -change how often to get mist reminders the plant -be able to select one task and then select several plants at once -adding notes that could be pinned on the plant’s front page (ex. My pitcher plant needs to be watered with distilled water only) -having a reminder to turn your plant -being able to view things such as pests, overwatering, etc. without diagnosing a plant Despite all the critiques, I do like this app and will continue using it. I just hope that the developers could use some of my suggestions :)

It is not free at all.

To use every useful function of the app, you should buy premium option. It is too expensive. Even I could not use the plant identifier with taking a photo of my plant without premium membership. The worst experience of this app was finding log out button. Usually log out is on the home screen. But it is on the other page for this app. I had to spend time to find out to erase my account and log out from the app. It is definitely too expensive app.

Amazing support

I got a new phone and seemingly lost years worth of plant data and was devastated. Breanne w/ Planta’s support team had me back in within a day or two with aaaaall of my data. I am a forever Planta fan after this experience!

Pretty good

I would really like them to make a change where if you mark something complete, it goes away. It’s a little overwhelming with everything mixed in together. New tasks and completed tasks should be separated. More satisfying.

Often Just Doesn’t Load

Notifications always work but lately have to force close the app a dozen times just to get it to load.

Not great for succulents

This app seems to be really good for some plants, but it usually misidentifies any succulent or cactus. Most of my succulents, even one that’s a totally different color and shape, come up as Mexican Snowball echeveria, which they are obviously not. It did just fine identifying peace lily, spider plant, ZZ plant, corn plant, pothos, philodendron, etc. so it seems to be an issue just with the succulents, which is frustrating for me because they comprise the majority of my collection. I wish there was an option to put in past information. Sometimes I’m lazy or I don’t remember to put the information till a day or two later, but the best I can do is to mark it watered today. I’d prefer if I could chose to put in more accurate information. The schedule the app suggests doesn’t usually end up working for my plants. I put all there information in as accurately as possible, but there were still lots of days that one plant starts drooping or another has completely dry soil long before the recommended watering day. It would be kind of nice if the app could keep track of the frequency and maybe adjust itself to better match my regular watering schedule. It’s possible that I need to manipulate the data even more, though. One thing I do appreciate is the reminders to mist. I didn’t realize certain plants needed misting or how often to do it. Hopefully, that will be one more thing to help the tropical plants thrive in the dry climate here. The fact that it isn’t great for succulents is the biggest dealbreaker for me. I’m not sure if I will want to renew my subscription when the time comes.
