Double check everything

I ended up only eating about 1100 calories a day (even though I was on par with the macros it gave me) which should have been maybe 1900 calories. I don’t know if their data base just isn’t correct with nutrition labels or what. Didn’t even realize it until maybe day 6 and I was just feeling awful and sluggish. Would not recommend.

Technical Difficulties

The app is great for tracking macros. It makes the process easy. However, it is slow, possibly because it retains storage of a lot of unnecessary data on your phone. I’d like it to load faster. Also when I copy meals food amounts change. I’d prefer everything to copy 1:1, then I can edit out and make the emails for myself if need be.

Tough & Effective

I just finished a 12 week cut using RP Strength app. At first it took a little time to trust I what it was telling me but in the long run, if I stuck to it it worked really well. I’m now in maintenance phase and eating a ton of food, which initially scared me after having been on a cut. But I’m trusting the app. This diet is really a lifestyle, and learning to see things in phases gives you the opportunity to lose weight safely and in a healthy way. You need to listen to the podcasts and join the Facebook group to get support you’ll need as you go through it. RP is TOUGH to do, and not for everyone, especially if you have a history of disordered eating. Overall, I highly recommend it to someone who can consider where they’re at in the big picture - your RP diet isn’t over when the cut finishes - taking a long term perspective here is key.

Rigid and inaccurate

Overall the functionality of the app was good, and the app is cheaper than my fitness pal. The app is basically unusable because of its rigidity. If you need to make adjustments it’s impossible and leads you to entering inaccurate data just to close out the screen. You have to balance your macros if you don’t fit them exactly, you cannot be over macros for any given meal, and protein macros cannot be increased. Portion sizes are pre decided, and if you adjust them and go over for a meal you have to balance it out from other meals So your tracking is no longer accurate. You can pull meals forward from last week, which is really convenient. You cannot eat a meal during a time you have labeled busy, and you cannot change that time, which leads to having to enter meals at different times then they are actually eaten. If you cannot guarantee a meal time at work and mark it as busy time in the app — but some days you can grab a snack or a shake you cannot enter it in, or create a new meal for that purpose. You cannot move your training days either, so if you need to train on a day that is marked a non training day, your macros will not change for that day. If you moved training it should pull your already entered macros over for you and rebalance them so you know what you now have to eat. I really wanted to use this, but it does not fit my lifestyle and I’m wasting time entering foods into the app that don’t actually reflect what I’ve eaten.

Decent app - I need more

Like the coaching app but need more detail. Cannot change measurements of food. Need to be able to measure in cups and ounces.

Def not worth the hassle

For $15 a month this app is not helpful. It’s not customizable and has a plethora of problems and inconveniences. You can’t customize your own macros, I constantly have to add foods to my library I’ve added in the past. It doesn’t learn with you or grow in any way. I can’t even copy and paste previous meals into the next day. It’s just so archaic. It takes me 30 minutes just to add all my items for a meal. Too irritating and too time consuming. Looking for a new app.
