The RP Diet App was designed by nutritional experts and data scientists to do one thing and one thing only: GET YOU RESULTS! This app is NOT A TRACKER. You don't type in the foods or macros you eat. This app is a DIET DESIGNER and COACH. It tells you what to eat, not the other way around! There are tons of tracker apps out there, and many of them are very good. But this is one of the only diet coaching apps. If you're frustrated with your diet and just want a clear but flexible plan to follow, this is the app for you. The RP Diet App takes the uncertainty out of your hands and guides you every step of the way to your fitness goals. You log in and tell the app about yourself, including your current schedule. You also tell the app about your next goal. You can choose to lose fat, gain muscle, or maintain an athletic physique at peak performance. Based on the goal you choose, the app designs a custom diet that fits your schedule, but it doesn't choose your foods. For each meal, YOU get to choose the foods you eat from a long (and growing) list of healthy options, and the app automatically tells you how much of these foods to eat so that you're on track to meet the goal you set. The app will remind you when it's time to eat your meals and when it's time to step on the scale to track your progress. By inputting your weight just a few times a week, the app will automatically adjust your diet every week to keep you on track. What does this mean? It means that you don't have to fret or worry about your diet anymore. You just have to choose your favorite healthy foods, eat when the app reminds you, and watch your body transform. When you have serious goals, don't leave them to chance. Leave them to science. While the app accommodates countless ways of eating, it's not yet currently configured to support vegan diets or the schedules of night shift workers. Both updates are coming VERY soon, and the vegan diet option is already well underway in development and promises to be very, very powerful and easy to use. Changed the way I eat forever!!

Hands down the diet works and the app is the best tool for staying on track and monitoring your progress. I’ve gotten so good at knowing how much of each macro to eat at each meal without using a scale. Best diet/lifestyle app ever!!

Good for some, not ideal for me

This is a good app for people who don't have to make changes to their schedule at the last minute. You can't change when you workout that day or it messes up the whole day's worth of meal planning. I understand it's a planning app, but I would love to see an addition to this app where I plan a few different days worth of meals depending on what time I workout and can just select that type of day and input it in my schedule. Instead of having to set up the times all ahead of time, I could just select from a list of preplanned meals with different workout times, one day where I workout at 9:00am, one where I workout at 7:00am and it automatically shows me what I have preplanned for a "7:00am workout day".

Best diet ever!

This app has made the rp diet easier and even more effective for my life. I love the fact that it gives you reminders on when to eat. When I first started RP, the meal prep took me forever trying to calculate the proper amounts for each meal. This app has simplified and streamlined my meal prep process, making it easier for me to stick to the plan. RP has changed my life! I do wish the app had a place for taking progress photos and storing those over the many cut/mass/maintenance cycles I’ve done!!

Not flexible at all

This app enforces strict adherence to meal timing, so if you want to try intermittent fasting then this app is not for you (or just use it for your total macros and use my fitness pal.) When entering your macros on this app it will not allow you to save it if you are 5 grams over any of the macros, so during meal check in why offer the option of “slightly above macros” or “roughly hit macros” of the app enforces you to be spot on? When I tried to search for “oranges” for the shake option you know the real fruit, under the “carb” only step, it would only pull up orange juice, what in the hell is that about? If I chooses to have an orange with my intra workout shake I should be allowed to enter it as so. This app prides itself on allowing you the ease of inputting food to hit your macros, but that is not the case at all, more headache than anything. If anything do the free two week trial to get your macros then go use them on my fitness pal where it is much more user friendly, flexible and realistic. All in all I DO NOT RECOMMEND this app and I will happily go back to using MY FITNESS PAL. Much more user friendly.

Best app out there. Down 40 pounds during first cut 230-188lbs. 2 months into maintenance and currently at 186lbs.

Not user friendly at all

Subscribed for this app excited to change up my nutrition and workouts . Was given no information about program . Very difficult to log food and extremely confusing . I’ll stick to MFP which is free and has the best food database .

Update: take your fifth star, RP!

So, with the latest update to the app, RP has squeezed a fifth star out of me! The barcode scanner and restaurant food additions are absolute game changers. I now don’t have to find comparable macros for stuff that has been sitting around my house from before my current cut. I can just scan the barcode or search the database for what I need! Nine times out of ten, it’s in there. I DO have hopes that in the ever-expanding world of food, that they will continue adding things, but that will just be icing on the cake of a perfect app. Things I’d love to see added to the database: -The Lion’s Choice cookie dough sand butters -Fokken Nuts products, because I’m obsessed -Alcohol, because hey let’s live a little -more stuff from Bulk Supplements (where my krill oil at?!) I’m including the original first section of my previous review, because it is still relevant: I’ve struggled with my weight for my entire adult life. I’ve always wanted to be lean and strong, but I’ve never been able to reach my goal, until I found this app. It has taken the guess work out of my diet, and it has improved my relationship with food SO much. On my first cut with this app, I lost 20lbs over two months, and finally can see my abs. My performance in the gym did not suffer, and I was eating a variety of delicious foods. I can’t recommend this app enough.

In theory this app is great. Reminders, macro break down but I’ve tried to log my meals and it’s suggesting 60 grams of carbs in a meal. That’s essentially 2 ounces. I chose the muscle gain track and you want me to eat 2 ounces of carbs? That won’t be filling at all. If I try to adjust the fat, I go over on my carbs or protein, the app won’t even let you log it if you’re over a little bit. I tried to search a banana and it gave me everything banana flavored. I noticed someone else had an issue with the protein shakes, a half of scoop of protein isn’t realistic for anyone. This app isn’t user friendly and way too time consuming. I shouldn’t have to spend 30 minutes trying to figure out how to log my meals. A great app in theory but not very practical.
