I have been using the original GC and just found out from another team about this one. What is the difference? I couldn’t find a team to track the score and the parent told me they were on this app.
The team has won 3 and lost 5 but it say they have lost 6 and won 2
Original GC is better. More user friendly.
No way to turn off RSVP No way to delete teams tour not using
Difficult to follow games. The app locks up and then when you open it back up it replays the game from the beginning and locks up again. The web app works much better.
The previous GameChanger app was much less confusing to use and more stable. Lots of freezes in this version. My parents were frustrated that they needed to download a new app and there was no way to follow the game on the web. Going back to your other app and will have to rescore games done in this app to keep stat consistency (seriously, you couldn’t figure out how to keep same data with the new app?!?) Will try again in a few months once you get bugs hammered out or at the start of a new season.
This new game changer team manager app is a good idea but lacks many features of the original game changer app. Missing these features makes managing a team much more difficult that it used to be. Here are some of the shortcomings. -there is NO website that you can log into to setup lineups, check stats, download stats, change player info, or search teams. Again, NO website like GC.com -once you create a player, the team manager no longer can change info for the player. Only the family can. I misspelled a players name, no way to change it. -can’t add family members after the initial player was created, meaning you can’t invite more people to the app -multiple teams get run together in the messenger app -can’t just search for a team and see it’s schedule or history anymore. You have to subscribe to the team, making your list of teams huge. Unnecessary. -no short code to quickly search for teams anymore
Scoring a game on team manager is fine. However, when you transition to team manager for scoring games, stats no longer sync to the game changer website. This means stats are only available on mobile devices and not available on laptops or PCs. In addition, there are several stats not available on team manager including total balls and total strikes, the spray charts no longer indicate fly or ground, and the list goes on and on.
Developers, Please change the line-up card to show only substitutes below line-up. Not sure why it list every player on the team, but umpires won’t accept it for softball. Also, for softball the EH should be an AP. Thank you for making the Flex position. GC message feature was better since it allowed us to create different subjects and not have one long stream of messages. Easier to find relevant subject and start different message streams. Overall, the app is very similar to GameChanger, but wish it made simple improvement to the line-up card so I can stop manually doing them.
In the past there was an option to have SMS which was a text to my phone when game started n stopped. If Team Manager has that I can’t find it
