I would just like to say that I find all content and features on this app very beneficial to anyone! My journey with this app started with my therapist asking me to join some form of meditation program and I found Waking Up. The app has completely changed many things in my life and I couldn’t have chosen a better program like Waking Up. I can’t wait to continue my journey!! A big shoutout to the support team behind waking up for being so attentive and quick to respond to my inquiries.
The Waking Up App is awesome. From the daily meditations, to the lessons, to the conversations with awake and aware people this App is healing and helpful.
This is the second meditation app that I have used, and I must say that I like the way Sam Guides me into exploring consciousness

I’ve really enjoyed using this app. I’ve had a daily meditation practice for over 10 years, but continued to feel stagnant. This app offered a fresh perspective on my practice. Sam’s style of teaching is very clear. He is able to articulate nuances of practice, such as the “one who is looking,” which are often brushed over or ignored all together in other learning contexts. I especially appreciate the balance of “effort” and “ease.” I’ve noticed the “yin” of ease providing a necessary balance to my overall life. It’s reassuring to know that Sam’s teaching is rooted in tried-and-true traditions, his many years of practice, and now a growing empirical science. All of these elements converge to deliver the real deal.

This is most definitely thee best meditation app on the market.
I have been using Headspace for over 2 years and I loved the concept but felt I wasn’t truly meditating and I ended up very distracted during most sessions. I completed the basics courses over and over hoping something would click but it never quite did. Waking Up is really different! After 10 days I feel I’ve already had deeper meditation experiences than ever before. Sam is a fantastic teacher. I highly recommend this app to anyone!
The Waking Up Course is the best, most reasonable way to “be consciousness,” to train the center to drop out of consciousness, and in meditation or in daily life, experience consciousness momentarily free from grasping. I will typically sit for 30 to 60 minutes, utilizing guided meditation for the first 20 minutes and spend the remainder working on the last-minute instruction. It is such a gift to my examined life living to have this newfound appreciation for the meaningfulness of attention and the mystery of the headless way. I was a fan of Sam’s before the podcast and have always been a supporter of the pod, but I think it is fair to say that Sam has the best tact for a meditation app: never fluffy, balanced between instruction and silence, between East and West, spirituality, science, and philosophy. Thank you Sam!
