GyPSy Guide’s narrated driving tour for Rocky Mountain National Park is an excellent way to enjoy all the benefits of a guided tour while you explore at your own pace. There are 135+ audio points that play automatically along a tour route, featuring the best things to see and do, stories, tips and driving directions. Professional tour guides share advice on how to prioritize your time at recommended “not to be missed” viewpoints, suggested side-trips and places of interest. Tours work offline, using free GPS signal and location services, so no data roaming, network, or wifi is required while touring. It’s Just Like Having a Tour Guide in Your Car™ WHAT TO EXPECT: Rocky Mountain National Park boasts the very best of what Colorado and the Rocky Mountains has to offer: unbelievably scenic mountains, awesome hiking and superb wildlife viewing. But perhaps the most memorable aspect of the Park is that it was created with the driving visitor in mind. Nowhere else in the country can you drive a scenic route that brings you above the treeline and into the alpine tundra for 11 miles, peaking at altitudes over 12,000 feet. Or you may want to follow the historic route that the earliest visitors drove in their Stanley Steamer or Model T’s on the Old Fall River Road. There are many scenic viewpoints including Rainbow Curve Outlook and Mushroom Rocks Overlook along the driving route, and easy, accessible trails at Sprague and Bear Lakes. Hear all about the “Father of Rocky Mountain National Park” and the other influential characters who fought and invested heavily to preserve this area. But many visitors are drawn by the excellent wildlife watching opportunities. Especially during the Fall rut when male bull elk and moose are fending off rivals, vocally and physically. We’ll point out the best locations to keep watch and increase your chances. This is a truly unique experience that has thrilled drivers and passengers since the 1920s. The tour officially starts and ends close to each entrance of the Park; Beaver Meadows and Fall River from Estes Park, and Grand Lake from the West. Or you can join and pick up the commentary anywhere along the route. Narration will automatically trigger at the next commentary point. WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Highlights along the tour route include • Trail Ridge Road • Old Fall River Road • Estes Park • Bear Lake • Rainbow Curve Outlook • Mushroom Rocks • Sprague Lake • The Stanley • Holzwarth Historic Site • Many Parks Curve Outlook • Grand Lake • Lava Cliffs Don't miss out on the best stops and stories. Enhance your Rocky Mountain National Park experience with our audio driving tours.
The narration was so helpful and informative for navigating RMNP.
Love these things. We used the Road to Hana (Maui) and Yellowstone and loved both. RMNP is great as well. Great value!
We purchased this app after seeing it in the visitors center brochure. We’re so glad we did. The drive in Rocky Mountain National Park is spectacular, but the guide-points, history, and tips were just outstanding. It helped us decide where to stop and what to look at. We didn’t miss any turns we wanted to see, and we could pass by the ones that we weren’t as interested in. Very well worth the purchase.
We named our guide "Kevin" and he is our new best friend!!!! Learned so much about RMNP and will use Kevin on all our trips!!! You NEED this app!!
We love these GyPSy Guide apps! We just used it for Rocky Mountain NP and loved it! It’s worth every penny it costs. We learned so much about the park that we never would of heard of without it. It’s a must have for visiting National Parks all over. Hopefully they are making more of the parks they don’t have yet. Love love love these!
This is the second time I have used one of the gypsy guides. Two years ago I did the Canadian Rockies package and loved them. Recommended them to friends who went last year, and they agreed. So happy there was one for my first visit to Rocky Mountain National Park. It has been such a nice addition to all of the drives.
It had been a long time since we visited RMNP & it was the first trip there for our 8 year old grandson. We all enjoyed this audio tour! Great advice for detours & fun stories as well.
Did the drive in Rocky Mountain NP. So informative.
I’m so glad I found out about this app before my time in RMNP. Now I want one to lead me through the rest of my trip through CO.
The perfect guide for our first trip to Rocky Mountain National Park! It was like having a private guide in our car! Great info, history, information on which places were “must see”! We will definitely use again!
