It’s Just Like Having a Tour Guide in Your Car™ WHAT TO EXPECT: Rocky Mountain National Park boasts the very best of what Colorado and the Rocky Mountains has to offer: unbelievably scenic mountains, awesome hiking and superb wildlife viewing. But perhaps the most memorable aspect of the Park is that it was created with the driving visitor in mind. Nowhere else in the country can you drive a scenic route that brings you above the treeline and into the alpine tundra for 11 miles, peaking at altitudes over 12,000 feet. Or you may want to follow the historic route that the earliest visitors drove in their Stanley Steamer or Model T’s on the Old Fall River Road. There are many scenic viewpoints including Rainbow Curve Outlook and Mushroom Rocks Overlook along the driving route, and easy, accessible trails at Sprague and Bear Lakes. Hear all about the “Father of Rocky Mountain National Park” and the other influential characters who fought and invested heavily to preserve this area. But many visitors are drawn by the excellent wildlife watching opportunities. Especially during the Fall rut when male bull elk and moose are fending off rivals, vocally and physically. We’ll point out the best locations to keep watch and increase your chances. This is a truly unique experience that has thrilled drivers and passengers since the 1920s. The tour officially starts and ends close to each entrance of the Park; Beaver Meadows and Fall River from Estes Park, and Grand Lake from the West. Or you can join and pick up the commentary anywhere along the route. Narration will automatically trigger at the next commentary point. WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Highlights along the tour route include • Trail Ridge Road • Old Fall River Road • Estes Park • Bear Lake • Rainbow Curve Outlook • Mushroom Rocks • Sprague Lake • The Stanley • Holzwarth Historic Site • Many Parks Curve Outlook • Grand Lake • Lava Cliffs Don't miss out on the best stops and stories. A wonderful app well worth it if you are planning to be in the park. Great commentary, information and history. Will defiantly be using this app for the other parks.
I will download this app for every national park trip I take. Very informative, entertaining and helps you with directions. Strongly recommend this app!
Such a great way to enjoy the drive Old Fall Road and Trail Ridge Drive. So glad I found this app in the Estes Park magazine.
We LOVED having this with us on our drive through Rocky Mountain National Park! We had been there before twice but had never gotten as much out of it as this time with our guided tour. I loved everything about this app. Would highly recommend to anyone and if we travel again, I will look for a tour from this company.
We downloaded this app before going on a day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. We have been before and this app made it 100% better. The first time through I’m pretty sure I fell asleep, but with this app I was engaged and interested the whole time. We used it going from Grand Lake to Estes Park and then back from Estes Park to Grand Lake. The narration was different both ways, so we stayed entertained the whole time. Well worth the $$!
We used this to tour RMNP and love every minute! It worked flawlessly with the GPS and gave us lots of information and history we would have never known driving this park without it. We even named our guide Frank. It was a great app.
Loved this app!!! We really enjoyed the commentary and pieces of information during our drive through Rocky Mountain Park. Highly recommend.
I’ve had an iPhone since their release and this is the first review I’ve feeler compelled to write. A friend recommended the app and I was a bit doubtful at first due to the number of free apps out there. Wow, was this app amazing. It was like having a personal tour guide! Not only did it run off of GPS when there was no reception, gave us directions before turns with options on which way went where, but also had all sorts of insightful information along the trip. To top it off it was a very calming voice while driving around precarious roads, and the sense of humor was appreciated. Well done and looking forward to more adventures with Gypse
This is the first time we were at a National Park and this app is great. We had our 7 year old with us and he enjoyed listening to the information. The guide syncs perfectly with the park and gives you perfect advice on places to stop for photos and hikes! Would recommend this to everyone and will be using again for our next adventure.
This app is awesome. 100% worth the $6 fee. It totally explained everything you’d want to know and did so just as you approach the site. MUST HAVE. DON’T leave without.
