Seriously, after being a backcountry ranger for the Parks Service, now trapped in downtown slc working and going to school, this is the fix I need. Love when the trainers encourage me and tell me about the cool surroundings in detail.
Icon/Nortitrack has purposely disabled the use of this app on most treadmills. I have a brand new X9i, and even though I was told by sales and support that I could use my iPad and this app with the treadmill you cant. I have screen shots from support of them telling me that the app will work. Sales has no response now that I have bought the treadmill, but I have emails from them telling me it will. Basically Icon/Norditrack has disabled the Bluetooth connection to most of thier treadmills to prevent people from using services like Zwift.
This is a diamond in the rough. I like the destination runs, the trainers, and iFit equipment automatically adjusting. The app setup itself needs some tweaking- like allowing more than one user id per email account, updating your email account, allowing your device to keep your user id and password in memory. It asked what type of equipment we have, one of them being a stationary bike, but I don’t see anything in the library for spinning.
I got one year subscription with my Elliptical from Costco and I noticed the app doesn’t support older version of iOS devices. I have an iPad 3 which performs like the first day and I don’t have to buy a new one, but unfortunately I can not use this app because it does not support the older devices. I don’t see any reason why this app shouldn’t be fully functional on the older devices. Please make it happen
Must fix: 1. Needs to remember login Nice to haves: 2. Would be nice to have a category of treadmill, bike, elliptical, cross 2a. Subcategory of fat burn or performance increasing etc 3. Show my created workouts (right now I have to schedule one for it to show up) I do think this app has some great potential but having to login each time is irritating!
1. I already bought your equipment and installed this stupid app, STOP wasting my time playing an absurdly long, unskippable promotional video for your stuff! 2. If you expect me to sign up for an unreasonably expensive subscription just to activate MY treadmill, you need to go do vile things to yourself with rusted fish hooks. 3. Bypassing activation (through this stupid app) is achieved by pressing and holding the ifit button on the treadmill control panel for 20-30 seconds; just do that and skip this useless app. 4. If I'm required to signup your stupid service to use the app to use MY treadmill, you need to make sure the registration process for your stupid service doesn't stall on the post-trial pricing details page. 5. Scam artists require automatic billing after free trials, quality services do not. Stop trying to bilk users out money. 6. Real health apps sync across platforms and interlink with other providers to ensure users maintain complete records. Icon silos data and pretends they can not sync to Apple Health, Strava, etc, in truth they are simply incompetent.
Like stated before, it is hugely annoying to have to log in each time or not be able to log in with a fingerprint like other apps. The music is terrible. If only there was a way to play your own playlist in the background while the coach talks over the music.
It’s ok. But what you pay for the app. It’s not worth it. You have to log in every single time. Like other reviews mention it takes awhile to upload. I also have to stay close to the machine to connect Bluetooth after I open to browse workout. I enjoy a certain trainers and I don’t have a shortcut to there programs. I also wished they had a filter for how long you want to workout or what trainer you want. For the price you think you want more advance searches. I don’t think I will keep this app.
I’m liking this app so far. I love how it synchronizes with my treadmill. I used to be in really good shape but now I’m starting again so it would be very useful to be able to filter the different workouts according to difficulty level or type of workout. It takes a lot of time to figure out every workout as the description is not enough and difficulty level are not mentioned. I believe that being able to filter the workouts would be a great improvement!
